  1. I have this same exact monitor. It's fantastic. Of course a higher resolution will look better and technically give you a larger canvas to work with, but it's a very good budget UW monitor, and an excellent monitor in general.
  2. It is. I bought 2 keys. Both activated Windows and work fine.
  3. Or buy a Windows 10 key for just under $4. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262806476541?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

  5. I don't regret getting out of the Bitcoin game... Not at all... I regret everything.
  6. I am aware that 4K is highly graphically intensive instead and not so much CPU intensive. A good CPU will still help quite a bit though. Both the 7700K and a current Ryzen CPU (if optimized for use on all cores) will work very well.
  7. Whelp, I just straight up cancelled my 1700X and AM4 motherboard orders. I primarily use my PC for gaming. I do very little productivity on it that would require the extra cores. The only thing that comes to mind is Handbrake, and even at that I could render the files using QuickSync, which will render as fast as or faster than Ryzen. I game mainly on a 144Hz monitor, and even on that my 3770K would dip a bit. The 1700X, in terms of single threaded performance, is pretty much on par with the 3770K. I plan to move to 4K very soon, and the stronger single threaded performance on the 7700K will q
  8. The Xiaomi Pistons are apparently really good for the price. Or save up the money and get these Japanese earbuds. They're apparently amazing. Here's a review from The Verge: http://www.theverge.com/2016/8/29/12688698/zero-audio-carbo-tenore-best-earphones-review JVC Gumys are my go-to cheapo earbuds. They sound awesome for the price. Also something to consider OP. https://www.amazon.com/JVC-HAFX5B-Inner-Headphones-Black/dp/B005K925UO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488360165&sr=8-1&keywords=jvc+gumy
  9. @Kiluax I have this exact chair. Racing style, super comfy, fairly inexpensive price ($80 atm). It's awesome. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017VQAXIY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. I'm going to assume that in the UK you guys use a 300 to 850 point scale like here in the US. So, I'm going to tell you how I got my credit score up from nothing. I'm sure the same rules apply to the UK. I haven't even been building up for a full year and I have a score of 730 at the moment with two credit cards, one of the which I just got approved for $5000, and I'm 20, with only 10 months of credit history. What I did was use a secured credit card for the bulk of that time (8 months to be precise). From my experience, this is the quickest way to get your credit scor
  11. If you're interested, I'm selling some server parts.
  12. Luckily I'm right at the limit. I have 2 16GB sticks clocked at 3200MHz. Still sucks that this exists though. Hopefully can come out sooner than 1 to 2 months.
  13. Pretty overpriced, which isn't surprising since it's Razer. Here's some alternatives that cost way less. 50,000mAh for $136 - https://www.amazon.com/MAXOAK-50000mAh-Portable-External-Notebook-Most/dp/B00YP823NA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487909741&sr=8-3&keywords=laptop+power+bank 23,000mAh for $100 - https://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-23000mAh-Portable-External-Smartphones/dp/B00HFMUBYG/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1487909741&sr=8-4&keywords=laptop+power+bank
  14. We do pay taxes on electronics. It depends if the company we are buying from operates in the same state that you reside. For example, let's say I buy something from B&H Photo online and have it shipped to me. Since B&H operates in New York, and I live in Florida, and they don't have any operations here in Florida, they are legally not obliged to charge sales tax. Same goes with Newegg, since Newegg operates in California and a couple other states.
  15. Bought my 1700X and ASRock board as soon as they were available. Hype!!
  16. Ryzen 1700X and ASRock board ordered. All in on that hype train now!!

  17. He doesn't necessarily have to be a citizen in order to live here. He could have a green card or a certain type of visa, etc. So long as he has some kind of valid, non-expired form of ID, he's good. If his valid ID is expired, and he's still living here, then he's technically breaking the law and is supposed to get deported, which makes sense since he would not have a valid form of ID. If he doesn't have a valid form of ID, IMO don't rat him out, but he should expect what's supposed to happen to him if he's caught.
  18. This makes me even more excited to see the 8 core, 16 thread 1700X I'll be getting. I already sold my 3770K based PC. I'm all in on the Ryzen hype!!
  19. We have this Lenovo on sale at the moment. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-110-15isk-15-6-laptop-intel-core-i3-4gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-black/5496140.p?skuId=5496140
  20. There's a Windows 10 Cloud ISO floating around. Pretty much confirms what we already thought. It's RT 2.0.

Yep, no Win32 support.. I guess MS never learns.

    2. GzeroD

      GzeroD

Umm... win 10 cloud is supposed to support standard windows binaries, that's the whole point.

  21. The closest thing we can get to this at the moment is running Linux natively, and then running a Windows VM with GPU passthrough, which is what I plan on doing when I upgrade to Ryzen, because my 3770K does not support GPU passthrough.
  22. Source: https://thenextweb.com/twitter/2017/02/06/verizon-and-t-mobile-engaged-in-a-bizarre-twitter-battle-during-the-super-bowl/ If you watched the Super Bowl, you more than likely saw T-Mobile's commercials ripping on Verizon for charging extra fees. If you haven't seen them, watch them. They're hilarious. Of course this led to Louise from Bob's Burgers to poke fun at Verizon with T-Mobile over Twitter. Not to be outdone, Verizon responded back accordingly, and the rest is history. Top kek
  23. @Cracklingice Thanks for the info, but soon after I made this thread, the guy I was talking to who was going to buy the PC from me now is not buying it. I'm just going to part it out.
