Been well, thanks. Mainly just lurk in Hot Deals nowadays. Forum got boring for me. Pretty much just chill in a few Discord servers nowadays.

Ya it's been a while. Upgrading to the Huawei Mate 9. It's like the mac daddy of all smartphones. It was way out of reach, but it's come down a bit to $420 to $480 on the used market.

$330, and that comes with a case, wall charger, and Type C cable. It's pretty much like new.

  5. Yo, Floridians. Any cool PC places in the Tampa Bay area?

Tampa is hella lackluster for PC places, unfortunately. There's few computer repair shops that sell some parts such as  MIT Computers or PCG Computers. Their prices are very inflated though. That's pretty much going to be it, unless you find some groups to play with. I know there's a few groups on an app called Meetup (forgot their names) and USF has a decent PC scene. FGCU eSports does tournaments from time to time. Look them up on Facebook.

My itinerary isn't completed yet, but I have a master list of stuff that I may or may not do if you want to see it.

  8. Does anybody need 2 sticks of DDR2 ECC RAM? Because the guy I bought mine from gave me 2 extra sticks. I still need to make sure that all of the sticks work though.

Top kek. I feel like $400 isn't bad for that amount of performance and storage imo. Now we just have to see if these used parts hold up. They are server parts, so fingers are crossed. And I'm installing FreeNAS to it. The main point of the server was to upgrade my current NAS (which blows) to something faster, better, and with more expandability. Luckily Plex has a FreeNAS, so I'm 100% doing that. I'll probably start my own private cloud storage, cause OwnCloud is a plugin as well. Trying to figure out how to use as a rendering machine as well, I guess you could say. I use Handbrake a lot, and want to offload that work load to the server, if that's even possible on FreeNAS.

It's for a cheap home server build I'm working on. Think LTT's $150 PC video, but cheaper (for the CPUs, RAM, and motherboard). http://pcpartpicker.com/list/jGnWr7

Just for Plex really, and I know in terms of performance it's way overkill for Plex, but I want the ability to have that extra performance in case I need it down the line.

Fixed it. Went into the HomeGroup settings. Even though I had network discovery enabled, I had to re-enable it, which is odd.

The only credential that was close enough was one for Plex, which I removed, and rebooted. Still can't access the NAS. :/

I have to have a username and password to login, but after I set it up as a mapped drive I'm good.

Aight, messed around with it on my laptop. On my laptop the NAS works perfectly fine. I can access it using File Explorer and even started playing back a video. I was even able to map it as a network drive. So the issue has to be with my computer. I did do a Windows update the other night, and I noticed that the NAS stopped working for me after I did the update. That may be the issue...?

Click on the ReadyNAS at the bottom does something different though.
