Fans ramp up, keyboard and screen go black
cooljonathan replied to InsaneFPSGamer's topic in Troubleshooting
Try underclocking your graphics card: If you have overclocked, try resetting to factory clock speeds. I you haven't overclocked, try running your GPU at 50mhz under the factory clock speeds. If both doesn't work, try again with increased voltage -

Can I Get Away With a Corsair H60 + i7-4790
cooljonathan replied to BigDay's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
H60 would be fine -
Get a cheaper motherboard and substitute the money towards better 970s. (Gigabyte G1 Gaming is pretty good)

Or you could wait. Skylake is coming out soon, and even if you aren't getting the newer CPUs, the prices are bound to drop for the older ones

Help me pick a laptop - College computer engineer major
cooljonathan replied to JupiterMonky's topic in Phones and Tablets
Battery over absolute performance is key. Having your laptop die on you is way worse than losing a few fps in games
