Built my sister a little battle station after she kept being clumsy with her MBA in Madisonesque fashion
Table is an IKEA Linmon I found in my condo garbage room...
as you can see accessories are light have a USB charging hub for her Watch and iPhone/iPad and a HP printer...
It’s a MacBook Air I think from 2015 so yeah it’s a MacBook Air and does MacBook Air things...

I offered her my old AMD 8350 w R9 380  rig “No I’d rather have your PS4 for those sweet sweet exclusives” 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

My setup, used for gaming, video editing and stuff. Build: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1142393-yay-i-switched-to-amd-price-update CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X with a Noctua NH-U9S cooler  Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus M (Because it was cheap for what it had) RAM: 16GB (2 x 8GB) of DDR4 GEIL Potenza Evo, OC to 3200Mhz GPU: EVGA GTX 980 Ti SC Blower Card HDD: 7200RPM TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 1TB, External HDD: 5400RPM 2TB WD My Passport SSD: NONE, eveything works fine, no need to upgrade, stop telling me I need an SSD. Ok, things be slow sometimes. PSU: Corsair CX650M   The desk is a heavy duty corner desk and can hold a lot of weight.   And yes, that is a CRT, because I enjoy having perfect colors and buttery smooth, motion blur free movement in games.😋 PC lives on the floor and the case is a recycled Acer aspire TC 780 or whatever.

    First ever PC Build
    Specs:
    CPU: Intel i5-10600k
GPU: AMD 6800 Red Dragon was planning on getting a 3070, but this was available first and while more expensive (3070 - 499 Best Buy last I checked and the 6800 was 980) it was available and considering the circumstances
    Motherboard: Aorus Z490 Elite AC
    Memory: 32gb (16x2) G.Skill Ripjaw 3200 MHz
    CPU Cooler: Hyper 212
Drive: 1tb nvme M.2 ssd with plans to add at least one more ssd. Have the sata cables to the psu and mobo ready to go for at least two more drives
    PSU: EVGA 750w 80+ Gold
Case: Lian Li Lancool 2 with the RGB fans
    Monitor: Acer VG270 V 144 Hz
    Keyboard: Corsair K68
    Mouse: Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB

Hadn't really thought about having RGB to much in the case but with the Red Fans and the Red Dragon coloring may look into setting up some Red RGB memory sticks and maybe getting a rgb cooler and exhaust fans.

Still a few things to tidy up - tuck those LEDs away, make the wiring a bit straighter, ARGB LEDs under the desk mat and headphones, hide the cables at the back of the PC. I've also since added ARGB to my video card and made it vertical.

    Ryzen 5 3600, X470, 32gb 3600 ram, GTX 1660 super, 1tb 970 pro, plus trimmings.

Just realized I've never posted my living room setup after its completion. Specs are pretty modest, but I needed it to fit inside a Node 202 and be reasonable quiet:
CPU: AMD R5 2600 GPU: GTX 970 Strix MoBo: Gigabyte B450 I Aorus Pro Wifi Mini ITX AM4 RAM: 16GB Corsair LPX Case: Fractal Design Node 202 PSU: Corsaif SF600 Platinum Cooling: CPU: ID Cooling IS-60 GPU: 2x Noctua NF-F12 Lowboard: 4x Arctic P12, MoBo-controlled though the backplate I'm pretty happy how it turned out. Fits very well into its designated space and both CPU and GPU temps as well as noise are well under control. Only the GPU VRM is a tad toasty at around 106°C - but it has been that way since the beginning, since Asus fr*icked up the VRM Cooling on the 970.. If GPU prizes come down some day, I plan on swapping over the 2070 from my main rig, but until then, when sitting on the couch, 1080p / 60 on a 49" 4K TV is fine for most games. Also, the 970 can easily handle 4k / 60 in games*

*as long as this game is Dark Souls I (from 2012), which I'm currently grinding away at 😁

However, the real MVP for this setup is the Steam Controller. I've configured the PC to use a USB Stick as a secure login option, and since the Steam Controller works as a mouse even prior  to login, you can comfortably start the pc, browse the web, use windows and game from the couch - without ever reaching for a keyboard or mouse. For most gaming though, the XBox 360 pad is still king.

More info needed please. What are you using these for? What type of sound signature do you prefer? What do you prioritize more? Gaming, music, movies? How about the microphone. What are you using that for? Basic game chat? Casual live streaming? Give as much info as you can about the needs you want. Max $600 is a lot to work with

What's falling apart? Is it fixable? Typically the only part of a headphone/headset that should be wearing down is the earpads

Recently redone my desk as I was sitting quite close to the monitor. This took a couple of days to assemble and consists of a old offcut of worktop, 3 Argos bookcases, wood batons and a drawer runner set from Toolstation.

The cable management around the PC leaves much to be desired, but I just wanted to get it finished instead of trying to fish cables around a gap at the back of the bottom bookcase.

The average state of my desk

Main Monitor: LG 22MK400H-B (Love this monitor. Will be returning to LG for my next monitor. Haven't had any problems at all with this monitor.)
    Secondary: Dell P2210
Keyboard: E-Blue.. thing. I bought it ages ago and it needs to be replaced. Planning to upgrade to a Cooler Master MK730 but unfortuanetly that is not in stock and I don't know when it will be.
    Mouse: Logitech G402
    Headset: Razer Kraken X
PC Specs: Ryzen 3 3200G, R9 290X, 16GB Ram @ 2666, Gigabyte A320M-S2H, 120GB Kingston A400, Cooler Master MWE450. Thinking about a new build late this year or early next year. But I'll see how things unfold across the year.

And yes, I'm using an old Dell Optiplex as a monitor stand lmao. And the hole in the wall is for my ethernet cable, I should probably clean that up at some point.
