First 2 sections of this post addresses your question. The monitor looks like a good deal but the fact that they rated Contrast ratio as "Mega" in the tech specs raises some flags.
-
That or HyperX Cloud would be my picks.
-
Then i would defiantly get a new headset. Btw does it have to be a headset or do you have a separate mic?
-
What do you have now for keyboard and headset?
-
Care to elaborate? How are those better? Why is the Fidelio X2 "only adequate" for FPS gaming? And you do know that the HD700 are quite unpopular?
-
Higher than that would be the Hifiman HE400S at 299$. But for those it's really recommended that you upgrade the pads with some brainwavz hm5 pleather pads (25$). And then you need a modmic (55-70$ depending on the model).
-
no, you'll be fine without one.
-
Ain't big into pads but brainwavz hm5 are often recommended. Between velour and pleather i would probably go with pleather for the m50.
-
They're within his budget. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but you got a point. Cheaper combos would be: Status Audio CB1 (closed) + Vmoda BoomPro. Audio Technica M40x (closed) + modmic + better pads. And the HD558 combo you suggested if OP wants open.

@Degniz All the headsets you mentioned except the G4ME Zero are open headphones. If ambient noise isn't a problem then an open headphone will be preferable (bigger soundstage-->more immersive). Personally i would recommend getting the Philips Fidelio X2 due to their comfort and that they are easy to drive. They are also compatible with the Vmoda BoomPro microphone. For closed headphones i would take the DT770 250ohm (might need an amp) and modmic. The DT770 has a big soundstage for being a closed headphone. Or the Audio Technica ATH-AG1x. I wouldn't get the G4ME Zero since some

No, i'm not confusing the two. It's just that when people have talked about capture cards in the past they wanted to record their games. I never considered any other use scenario.

Roccat Kone Pure would be my pick, good materials but the shape might not be a perfect fit. http://www.rocketjumpninja.com/roccat-kone-pure-review/
