Yeah, remember those total failures that Tesla or SpaceX are?... yeah...  I see Elon getting a lot of flak for his innovative ideas. Some fail, some work out. Usually they work out, but not in the time span he plans. 18 years ago everyone was laughing about a new 'private space company'. Then everyone was laughing at him getting a rocket to orbit. Then everyone was laughing and saying it is impossible to do reuse on rockets. Now everyone is shitting their pants that they are way too behind and can't catch up. SpaceX now has ~80% of the market share of the launch market. They have boosters that have been reused more than 7 or 8 times. And they are building Starship. Everyone is laughing about it now as well. We'll see in a few years.

Vulcan/Ariane 6 are planned competitors for the Falcon, not in any way for Starship. Which will replace it completely

I've seen this trend a lot lately that even if it is as good as the 3080, people will choose that one over the amd card. Even though the 3080 consumes ~70-100w more power. Last time this was the other way around, people were screaming that their electricity bills will be insane, that they will die of heat exposure and basically the apocalypse will come.

It might; at the end of the day, with difference in how each company measures TDP (and now, apparently, something called "TGP"), what they report and how they break it down, and the rumor nature of some of the information, we'll only know once reviews with a common methodology for all cards are out.
But I have to agree with his point about how we went from "AMD will melt the polar icecaps!" to "if Intel/Nvidia performs, who cares about power consumption, right?"
Mindshare would be mindshare, I guess, It's not something I will lose sleep over. And with supply being it is, it may not matter much, especially for those of us away from civilization 😛

Apple, along with 10 other leading tech giants such as Nokia and Samsung, signed a memorandum of understanding in 2009.
They pledged to provide micro-USB compatible chargers for consumers.
However, Apple took advantage of a loophole that allowed manufacturers to continue using their own chargers if they offered an adaptor.
Then, in 2014, the EU passed the Radio Equipment Directive, which called for a "renewed effort to develop a common charger".
Apple insisted that its slimmer devices would be unable to fit the then-new USB-C technology, and it claimed it would cost up to $2bn (£1.53bn) to meet the desired standard.
