I'm not sure a plug in hybrid is less complex, they are more of a so complex you shouldn't touch with 60 foot pole outside of warranty kind of car.

EVs should be simpler and more reliable, though the greater weight is probably harder on the suspension than an equivalent ICE car. Maintenance costs overall should still come out in favour of the EV though. Plug in hybrids, all the weight of the EV with the complexity of both an EV and ICE powertrain.

Going back to the original question, in most cases probably better to keep using old stuff for as long as it works. Though the consumption of stuff we don't need is what keeps the economy going, we'd be screwed without it.

I guess even if it's evidence they couldn't present in court, it may let them know who they should be looking for evidence on, and in extreme cases who belongs on a terrorist watch list. It's such weapons grade incompetence it's almost like it was intentional, like Parler was set up by the 'other side' to one day leak all this stuff.

I know this one is skirting the line so I'll post it and lets the mods decide if it meets the requirements or not.

Its emerged that the 8,000 page Brexit agreement between the EU & the UK which was agreed on Christmas Eve and will be signed into law on January 1st contains references to Netscape Communicator & Mozilla Mail which likely indicates someone somewhere simply copy pasted huge chunks of the document from a very old source.
Perhaps even more worrying though, the document recommends the use of RSA1024 & SHA1, both of which have known vulnerabilities.

Gotta laugh at this one. I can imagine some underpaid and overworked civil servant copy pasting huge chunks of data from outdated sources and not understanding word 1 of it.

The reason why the 3060 is getting 12 GB VRAM is the same reason the 3080 Ti is getting released.

    AMD.

Nvidia most likely has found out how much VRAM the budget AMD cards (6700/600) are going to be getting and upped the VRAM to beat their numbers. I see people here talking about what the cards "need" but these things have nothing to do with what is "needed". They need to make sure that their cards have "bigger numbers" than the competitor cards irrelvant of what is "needed" which is the only reason Nvidia is releasing the 3080 Ti. The vast majority of people have no idea whatsoever what VRAM is so when they compare products they just look at whatever the "bigger number" is.

Monkey Dust reacted to Giganthrax in Cyberpunk 2077 Save Data Could Be Corrupted on ALL PLATFORMS If File Size Is Too Large
The Cyberpunk 2077 folder is 230mb on my computer.

This terrified me until I checked the size of individual saves and saw that they're 3.8mb each after 30 hours of play. I'll hopefully be able to finish the game.

All these horrible problems the game is having are a real shame, because it's a genuinely good game and a complete one at that. It'll be great in 6 months after they've ironed all the bugs and optimization out, but they really shouldn't have released it in the current state.

Monkey Dust got a reaction from PlayStation 2 in Leather vs cloth car seats
A lot of leather in cars is rubbish, mostly vinyl with the thinnest outer coating of leather they can get away with and still legally call them leather seats.

I have leather in my Subaru, and the kindest thing you could say about it is that it's hard wearing. It feels like vinyl, it's sweaty like vinyl, it's black and with no design flair. I would have preferred cloth if that would not have meant giving up the big ass glass sunroof. Flip side I used to have an Alfa Romeo, it had leather, it felt like leather, it was red, and the seat centres were ribbed and perforated, it looked and felt glorious and sold the car to me. Leather done properly is very nice, but it's pretty rare in the cars most of us can afford unless you're brave enough to take on something like an old Maserati, Jag or Range Rover.

I would also say in cloths favour, it gives your arse more seat adhesion under enthusiastic cornering.

Monkey Dust got a reaction from PlayStation 2 in Uk Car Insurance new driver Very low income?
You're unlikely to have the funds until you're in full time employment. Unless your parents are funding your lessons, I doubt you're getting a licence on £100 a month either. Your options for making that kind of money at your age, in that timescale, are pretty limited. Buying and selling on eBay or Gumtree is my first thought, but it's unlikely to earn you enough and there is a risk of losing money. There are things, like stock market investing that you can't do until you're 18, and again there is the risk of losses.

And more bad news, you'll never remove all evidence of previous owners. I once owned a car that I assume had been broken into at some point before I bought it. No matter how much I vacuumed it out, there was always more chunks of glass turning up occasionally, even after owning the car for 7 years.

The 3DS XL is a bit big, admittedly still a lot smaller than a Switch. If I'm going out and I know I will have to kill some time I'll grab my DS Lite over my 3DS XL, just because the Lite fits in my pocket.
