This is both a terrible and a great idea... I might do that if this doesn't get any traction over the weekend.

I have thought about this, I've found some for about $200 on eBay. I could resell the motherboard for around $400, which would reduce the cost of a replacement board. But I'm trying to find a local solution that's relatively low cost before taking those routes. To the best of my knowledge, Intel's local office doesn't deal with processors, and the EPP program only has a 30 day return window, which has expired.

Hi guys, Last week I was gifted a Motherboard and CPU combo that was purchased through Intel's Employee Purchase Plan (Brother-in-law works there). In Intel's infinite wisdom the motherboard they bundled with the 10900X is a Gigabyte X299 AORUS Gaming 3 Pro, which doesn't have support for 10th gen CPUs until the latest beta BIOS. My guess it that the reason the board won't POST is because it has an older version of the BIOS, that doesn't yet support 10th Gen. As such, I'm trying to find someone in the Vancouver, BC area who has one of the following CPUs that I could bor

This would be great, would definitely build a new rig around this.
