  1. PC wouldn't post Unplugged cables, thought it would be fine Sparks flew No more 980ti F in chat boys
  2. I've got a soft spot for the pre-2000-series reference coolers.
  3. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/h0UAAOSwm7JfXPfS/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/f6YAAOSwqTxfXPWt/s-l1600.jpg I see some caked on dust. Could that be because a previous owner was a smoker, or is that just a bad case of regular house dust? Tar/dust being caked on everywhere gives me the heebie jeebies. I've never let a component get this dusty, so I'm looking for second opinions.
  4. Motherboards have proper clearence for all PCI-E cards regardless of length. It seems this motherboard is the case as well, as is any other properly designed board.
  5. If you have applicable experience: Does one versus two fans scale linearly or do two fans make little difference?
  6. Stock is 3 GHz and it runs at that hovering around 1 V. To your second point, I'm not looking for super high clock speed if it means acceptable performance, long lifespan, low heat, and low noise.
  7. 5960X w/ 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz @ 1.080 V I can push the chip much further than 4.0, but given the voltage, is this still a good overclock?
  8. I do 0.1, 0.05, 0.1, then 0.005. I know the voltage vaires by a bit, but at least I can tell myself the voltage above Vcore isn't my fault...
  9. I don't see the push towards smaller form factors, but that might be my ignorance. I do, however, see that the high floor space to volume ratio is offputting for people not willing to dedicate physical and visual space to their PC's. I don't have a problem with that, so I don't see an issue.
  10. The Air 750 was just a weird 540 with no reason to really get it over the 540 that I could see; And the 280x is peak tempered (gl)ass and over-simplistic design, with again not much to gain over the 540, but alot to lose with the type of person looking for the industrial look and/or cube lifestyle. I suppose I'm wishing for a company/insustry to 180, but I can dream and wait.
  11. There's a lack of cube cases in the current year, and since the Air 540 there hasn't been one like it since (IMO). Think of a case of the caliber of the 1000D, but instead of an Obsidian series, it would be a "Air" series. Maybe kick off a series of cube cases? With CaseLabs gone, the lack of cube cases, and with the release of the 1000D, I think an "Air 4500" would be sweet. What would ya'll want out of a case like that? I would like HDD cages in the back, maybe a 2x4 fan setup in the front, some more dust filtration, and a tempered glass hinged door; All w
