On the topic of your antec case:

They're shitty bottom of the barrel fans in the case.  No part number or anything listed on them that I found.

They're non-PWM compatible, and have no RGB Control ability.  They light up.  That's it.

well if you can take off the front panel and see how much the temps drop. then you will no  what you have to look foreword too. but also what is the case, what is the gpu, and what temps dose it get too?

as for what animations you can do will depend on what software or controller you have. some have built in. some need software. if you want each fan, strip to have its own color  each fan will need its own controllable header. not all animations will work with all argb. corsair eco system animations are built around there fans so having less leds or more leds will make some animations look bad.

so spending  more to get more custom animations is normally how its done.

the gpu slot, mb slot spacing and a cast that can handle it are imported. cooling might be a problem thow. the bigger the gap between gpus the better thow case having tempered glass and not having a fan on the side make cooling sli gpus hard.

i think 7 case pci slots is stander for atx but can go up to 11 slots in big cases

the corsair stuff should work all together but your mb and gpu will need a different software.

well sli is stupid and dead not only that 3090 is also stupid...so there not going to be much info. there was another post the other day of the same thing trying to sli 3090 in an 011 xl. but found out he uses it for work so its different. temps are still bad. didnt want to spend $1000 for an godlike mb for the 4 slot. might wc later on.

thrasher_565 reacted to narrdarr in installing fans at the motherboard tray
well if goal is to improve the quality of your cooling in the system. I wouldn't bother with mb tray mounts.

I would focus on the bottom intakes. supposedly you can fit 3x 140s in there. stupid theres no dust filter there. so you may want to get one. bottom intake is the dustiest especially if the system is on/near the floor.

    the config i would use.
as many 140/120 in the bottom that you can get to fit. personally I'd skip on a dust filter as long as your ok with cleaning or system every couple months

I'd use the largest rad/aio in the top
taking advantage of more surface and having hot air going directly out of the system should help more.
whatever single fan on the rear is fine.

even tho they dont do much I keep the fans on the front. a little help is better than no help plus it looks better that way.

I wouldn't go down the rabbit hole thinking about positive or negative pressure. just getting the maximum amount of air to flow through the case is key.

I found the Be Quite 500DX you were talking about on sale right now on Newegg for $79. That's a good deal and It wouldn't bother me much to get better fans if needed. So I'm deciding between the 500dx, The Phanteks P400A digital, The P500A, and The Lancool 2 Mesh. Any of them would be a good case and if I don't like the fans I have a set of Arctic P12 PWM's to put in. I put some rubber washers on them in my current case and the humming/vibration noise that they had is gone.

Sir go price out a corsair build, that will blow your mind. $169 CAD for 3 pack of LL120, I need 4 of those for my next build. Bestbuy had them onsale for $111 and I was excited about that, ONLY having to spend $444 on fans instead of $560

thrasher_565 reacted to Totallycasual in How many of you have moved on from PC gaming?
At one stage i played 90% of my games on PC and then a few years back Steam started giving me shit about playing offline and refusing the launch games unless i connected to the internet, that's where i started buying 3rd party games for my Playstation instead because i can buy the disc, i fucking own it and nobody can tell me that i can't play it without connecting to the internet because my consoles go months at a time without being connected lol

Now i just prefer my PS5, the controller's sweet as and to be honest, pushing out similar graphical fidelity with a PC would cost me an arm and a leg right now anyway.  Also, when i'm done with games i can trade them back in and get a discount on my next purchase, buying games digitally ensures i'll never get anything back.

ya that will work. but if you want to have one color on one and another color on a different fan/strip you need another header that can be controlled.

the quadro has 1 argb  header has pwm fan control
the farbwerk nano has 1 argb header no pwm fan controller
the octo has 2 argb  headers has pwm fan control
the farbwerk 360 has 4 argb headers no pwm fan controller

the aquaero 5/6 has 3 rgb headers has pwm control +other stuff
the farbwerk USB has 4 rgb headers has pwm control +other stuff
the farbwerk USB Bluetooth has 4 rgb headers and has Bluetooth control from phone. has pwm control +other stuff

so you would need to buy another quadro or octo or farbwerk 360 for 2 to 5 different colors zones.

there are cheaper controller that have more headers but you will have to use there software...
corsair proprietary pro up to 12 headers, core up to 6 headers per controller
thermatake proprietary (thow not that proprietary ) used DuPont connectors, 6 headers
    razer stander connector, 4 headers
lian li stander connector, 4 headers
    dont recomend
    ek stander connector
zalmon proprietary i think? i own it sadly...
    coolermaser stander connector
    nzxt proprietary

or there manual controller with a remote/case button,
or mb control thow there software it hit and miss and is also frustrating...

Meshify 2 XL and the Phanteks Enthoo Pro II are the two "Data horder" super towers currently on the market. Did some math a while back about buying up all the optional HDD cages and they'll both run you about $300 to max out the HDD storage capacity.

Just buy more fans. Add three intakes on bottom. Could even get the Arctic p12 pwm pst 5-pack and put 3x intake bottom, 1x intake low side, 3x exhaust on top.
