thrasher_565 got a reaction from FakeKGB in 12v rgb mb header to 5v argb device links
these are adapters if you have a 4 pin 12v rgb motherboard header and you have a 3 pin 5v argb device.
the convertor will make the argb act like rgb. and its never guarantee to work. i recommend buy rgb device, or usb controller or manual controller.
Convertors:
EZDIY-FAB RGB Convertor 12V RGB mb to 5V ARGB device
gamer storm Deepcool Convertor 12V RGB mb to 5V ARGB device

thrasher_565 got a reaction from AntSantos in Corsair LL 120 Fans, is there a way to use Aura Sync?
all corsair argb fans have the same pin out . 5v data clock ground. so you would need to hook the 3 pins up 5v data and ground. you can do that by hooking the hub to the mb like the guide above or buy modded cables.

thrasher_565 got a reaction from brAce4Ace in How do I get two colors on Aura for my case
ya can pm me any time
i have a guide and link in my sing you will find helpfull
i need to make more guides as people keep asking the same question over and over im just not the best at typing, spieling, or presentation witch to some can make my info confusing.
i want to make an guide and what is a strip how dose it work what the difference form rgb, argb what connectors are there so on
also alot of people get case that have built in argb/argb controllers and they dont no how it works or to hook it up but the problem is there so many different options looks and connectors off of them but i guess i can try.
also my build log tells the story of my rgb (be leave it or not my build had no rgb in it)

thrasher_565 got a reaction from brAce4Ace in How do I get two colors on Aura for my case
its really confusing. i dont own all the usb controllers nor do i have any mb with rgb headers. i did build 1 pc with asrock and it software was so bad i used the case built in controller instead... but that was also the cheaps mb that i could find with argb.rgb headers so keep that in mind.
i own a few usb controllers but only installed the software to see what it can do only tested to see if it lights up. i no corsair seems to be the best but like i said above.
once i do get things up an running ill see if i cna make a guide on what i own and what option you can do.
usb controllers i own thermaltake, corsair, aquacomputer, crap coolermaster, nzxt, crap zalman,
i dont own lian li, razer, asus, ek, lamptron
ek is still bata there the new guys
asus i think there controller was discontinued

the 120 and 140 has to be the same fan for it to work.

thrasher_565 got a reaction from Mark Kaine in Does RGB Actually affect FPS?
it heats up the air in the case so it can lower fps.

thrasher_565 got a reaction from brAce4Ace in How do I get two colors on Aura for my case
not only that only some software can allow to do that. my guess is corsair and aquacomputer. passably termaltake but i dont no. dont no about aura i think it depends on chip set. it seem the more you spend on an mb the better the rgb options is.(but not guaranteed)

The 730/730X uses an ATX motherboard, not a BTX.
The Dell XPS 700, 710 and 720 series desktops used the BTX motherboard

thrasher_565 reacted to brAce4Ace in RGB Cable Not Working? Is an RGB controller necessary?
I have an Asus board myself. You need to install/update and run the Asus Aura software to control the 12V 4-pin RGB header. I can't remember, but you may need to activate it in BIOS as well.
Branding does not matter when it comes to 12V RGB strips. As long as the 3 pins/wires for RGB are oriented correctly, sometimes R and G are swapped, having the Aura compatibility is just a badge of useless honor for the LED manufacturers imo.

sounds normal to me.
you would have to de solder the leds and hook em to a steady voltage

thrasher_565 got a reaction from tebla in Lian li O11 Dynamic for noise
the problem with cases that have poor air flow means you got to run the fans faster to compensate. you can have a dead silent case that is mesh. just need to pick good stuff that can run low rpm. like a big heat sink(not just any thow), bigger the fan the better( thoe some cheap case with 200mm fans might be loud ) water cooling can be loud or quiet all depends.

thrasher_565 got a reaction from TVwazhere in 5V to 12V Converter?
3 fans sould be find you will need a splitopr thow(just dont do more then 3) ya it will make your argb 5v dum like 12v.
you can also buy an usb controller for your argb or manual controller of some sort. if you dont have an argb 5v header.

thrasher_565 got a reaction from Jason 57 in I replaced the fans on my MSI armor rx580
well the stock fans were broken so i dont no what stock temps were but if i had to guess there about the same at a lower db or better performance at a lower db. seem to be around 65ish heaven test. that fans are cheap crap fans i had and i wanted to sell the gpus. if i would have done it properly buy attaching the fans power to the gpu and maybe use 80-92mm fans. trying to center the 120mm was an bit of an pain as it cant go to low or it will hit other pcie slots and cant go too hi or it will hit the door...
