  2. Do you by any chance have the battery saver on? I've had a similar problem with the display brightness when the battery saver was on, but it seems like it resolved itself after a Windows update.
  3. Apparently, my CPU temp is too high, like, in Overwatch main menu it skyrocketed to 95 celsius lol
  4. Hello! So today I replaced my HDD and installed a new SSD on my Asus VivoBook Pro 15 N580VD and everything went fine. After I've screwed the carcass back on, I tried powering on the laptop and nothing happened, not even a light or something. I thought that maybe I haven't connected the battery accordingly, but after I unscrewed every screw off the carcass, I tried powering on the laptop and it worked, it truned on, everything was fine, the BIOS detected the SSD and HDD. Even installed the OS. What I've noticed since then is that sometimes the ventilators are too loud, when they shouldn't be an
  5. Thanks both of you for all the help so far. My laptop is an Asus VivoBook Pro 15 N580VD
  6. So what you are saying is that i can't do anything about this problem, and just live with it?
  7. It has just been cleaned, but i ll try to update my bios again
  8. It's the 4gb model. A while ago, like 5 months or something, I tried to update my bios with Asus EZ Flash, everything went ok but might have been a dumb choice. Do you think that might cause this problem now?
  9. Hello. A week ago i had my laptop cleaned of dust and the CPU thermal paste replaced and in the last few days i noticed in XTU that my cpu thermal throttles at around 80 clesius. This only occurs sometimes and only in XTU, while in HWiNFO64 everything seems normal, except "IA:PROCHOT" turning to "Yes". To give you an example when this happens, today i was playing Skyrim and just as soon as my save loaded i was experiencing horrible freezes every two seconds and audio lag. From what I've read on other forums, those freezes might occur because of the VRAM. I am aware that this problem might occ
  10. So what you say is that i shouldn't bother with undervolting. But what do you suggest i should do in order to fix thermal and power limit throttling?
  11. Thanks for answering. What exactly does that mean, "7700HQ is power starved and no amount of undercoating can fix that"?
