  1. Why would you waste money now when new GPUs are around the corner? If it is just for games like minecraft, you could just get the build without the GPU and buy a 1070 when it comes out in a few weeks. I would go for one of the skylake options.
  2. As someone who has the exact same locked CPU as you and was in the exact same situation a while ago, I would say no for the time being as you can't see it without a window and if you set up a fan curve in the BIOS, it is near inaudible over other fans and/or your GPU unless under great load. If you really want one for marginally lower temps, or if you find that it is very loud constantly, you could buy a cheap quiet one like the 212 evo as others have already recommended.
  3. Good question cos if you are only using it for gaming, an i5 would be more than sufficient. Also, do you plan on overclocking cos if so, you could do with a better CPU cooler and if not, you could save a bit going for a non-k CPU and a H170 board instead.

  5. Do you want a particular colour scheme or do you have any size preferences?
  6. Correction, the 1080 is a bit more than a 980, but cheaper than a 980ti and still better performance. I think the non founders edition is around 600 USD
  7. I would recommend waiting for the GTX 1080 instead of getting a 980ti now as it is coming out very soon and gets you better performance for a little bit extra.
  8. I would love to get the WD My Cloud Mirror for my parents as their files are all over the place and a nightmare to find atm. Thanks http://www.amazon.com/Mirror-Personal-Network-Attached-Storage/dp/B00ITI058W/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1449773900&sr=1-3&keywords=wd+my+cloud+mirror
  9. CS:GO isn't very GPU intensive at all, but why do you need 200+ fps as most lower res monitors won't have a refresh rate higher than 60Hz. For $200, you might have to look 2nd hand to get decent specs.
  10. The R9 300 series cards are rumoured to be coming out by June/July, as is the 980ti so I would guess it would cause a price drop for other GPUs. Also, you definitely won't need a 970 to push 60fps on a 720p panel (I don't think there are any 120/144Hz 720p screens, correct me if I'm wrong). I would recommend upgrading your monitor ASAP, maybe even before you buy your GPU. Also, I believe the new Intel Broadwell chips are coming out later this year, around late summer/early autumn.
  11. The non-k cpus have a lock on the multiplier so you can only change the base clock. I think Intel also provides some sort of warranty/insurance from frying the CPU by OCing too high on the k series. Basically, if you want to OC, get a k CPU, if not, get something cheaper like a 4460 or 4590. The windforce card is quite big, but I think PCPartPicker has an inbuilt compatibility checker.

  13. The cooler as it will be miles better than the intel stock cooler that I'm currently using Thanks for doing giveaways though, it's really nice for those who cannot afford/access these items
  14. I was looking for help on building my PC which is now complete and someone on the PCPartPicker forums directed me to here. I watched literally all of your hardware related and parts choice techquickies, as well as every one of your pc hardware product reviews and build logs to gather a wealth of info. I would love to win the custom pc and can u please do a budget custom watercooling setup. That would help me a ton as the one in your overkill build log is far too expensive for me. Thanks for uploading and spreading knowledge to the community and congratulations on 1 mil subscribers you deserve
