  1. No I misunderstood the spec of the monitor i referred to, but there are actually some monitors that can receive both power and signal from one usb c connector. for example Lenovo m14 and Asus MB169C.
  2. Yeah it should really not be difficult from a technical standpoint, but the Einsteins that replied to me earlier seem to think so.
  3. Electricity was discovered many centuries ago but that doesn't mean it's changed at all. 5w is 5w, stepping up 5v to 12v is not difficult, space-consuming or expensive. It's really simple. It should not be a problem, and anyone claiming so with the argument that 3.5 inch hard drives are older than monitors just proves that they don't know jack sh*t of what they are talking about. They consume way more than a 3.5 inch hard drive, that's for a fact. A 3.5 inch hard drive uses no more than 10 watts in use, even if it's double that during startup or whatever it's way less than USB PD can handle.
  4. It just sounds unreasonable that you can power a monitor by USB PD but not a 3.5 inch hard drive.
  5. Does this product exist? I don't want to use one of these devices that require both a USB cable and an external power supply, I want one that supports USB power delivery so I can use just one cable connected to my pc with no extra power source.
  6. I'm looking for some 2.0 speakers to use with my computer, I dont want 2.1 because I don't have room for a subwoofer. I am using ATH M50 headphones at the moment and I like the sound of them, so I would like something with a similar sound character, but of course - speakers. What would you recommend in my price range? I can stretch my budget a little bit if it offers me alot more value for the money.

  8. Just deleted the drivers with ddu and installed the latest ones from nvidias website. Still happening. Yeah as far as I've noticed it only occurs with the mouse pointer.
  9. No but it occured before I made a clean installation of Windows 10 too, I was running Windows 7 before. Sorry, I should've mentioned that. But just to make sure I'll go ahead and DDU it and reinstall the latest driver right now.
  10. Ever since I got my Asus gtx 970 strix I've had this problem, but I've always thought it's just a driver issue that Nvidia will probably fix. Anyway, now I'm too tired of it and that's why I came here in hope for a solution or help with figuring out what could be wrong. So the issue is that sometimes when the cursor changes form, it will artifact. The easiest way to recreate the issue is to highlight a picture and drag it, as that causes it to artifact most often out of all situations where it does it, but it can also happen when doing something so simple such as hovering over text. Or any object. Basically any time the mouse changes form. And something even more annoying is that my screen goes black for less than a second sometimes. Some days it happens once or twice, and other days I don't have the problem at all. Very annoying. Have any of you experienced the same issue? Do you know what could be wrong? I've tried another hdmi-cable but it didn't help. All I cound find when I googled it was an old thread over at the Nvidia forums. I tried to catch it with a screen recorder, but for some reason it only appears on my screen, I couldn't see the artifacts when I played the video, that's why I had to record it with a regular camera. Watch it in fullscreen, it's pretty hard to see it otherwise. Down below is my video demonstrating the issue, I hope you can see the weird colors around the cursor appearing sometimes, but if not, I've also included a picture I shot by playing the video in slow motion.
  11. I bet 10 bucks on that they will give out portal 1 to everyone.
  12. Purple is best for surveillance and other use cases where you constantly write to the drive. With that being said, it's not a bad drive for gaming, maybe just not optimal. Both drives will serve you well, and most likely last for a long time, but I'd say you should get a black. Black offers higher performance, but are a bit loud. A green would also do just fine, you won't notice any difference in loading times unless you use a timer.

    RIP header?

Why don't they store the pictures at their own servers? I'm sorry but this was my reaction when I saw the imgur-thing:
  14. My favorite feature is the selective focus, the focusing of the picture makes a huge difference on the look and feel, and being able to change this at a later point is really cool, I can worry less about picking the right focus point and focus more on capuring the moment.
