Acer Nitro 5 very slow

Hi all,

I recently  bought a Acer Nitro 5 With i5 8th can processor gtx1050 4gb and 1tb hard drive and 8gb of memory.

I installed all drivers Windows updates but laptop considerably very slow especially when you installing a game and want to browse something else it just full off lag and long response time.

Maybe someone has the same laptop and experience similar issues and could help me out please?

shouldn't get a such lag with this laptop.

Thanks.

also you will need to re-thermal paste the cpu.

I have a nitro 5 as my travel pc and even doing youtube can get the cpu over 150F which is unacceptable.

When gaming it would sit at base clock and ride at 200F. After thermal paste it holds 4.0ghz boost at around 180F which stock was causing severe stutter in game.

so not over the top

Is yours 7th gen or 8th? My i5-7300hq 1050 model while being the lowest spec model has had no thermal issues.

  • 1 month later...

I recently bought Acer nitro 5 aswell, and everygame stutters I mean even if I make the game on lowest settings possible it would still Stutter, using it casually is okay tho. Hope there's a fix for this already.
