Black Friday: What did you buy?

LinusOnLine

The Black Friday deals in Sweden were not that great but I managed to get two items I wanted.

First was a new router. The Linksys WRT3200ACM for about 170 euro instead of 280 euro.
Second one was a monitor. The AOC C32G1 for 280 euro instead of 320. Not a great deal but I needed a new monitor and it was the cheapest 32 inch I could find.

Happy with the router buy though since I have been thinking of getting that one since this summer :)

I bought a new PC and monitor.

I've waited over a year because first I wanted to wait for the RTX cards, then the new CPU's and now I decided to buy it.. I've not been able to run new AAA titles properly the last few months on low settings.. I have been looking at prices the last few months and did save around 800 euro in total.

I've been watching the prices for the 2TB Samsung 860 EVOs on Newegg for a while. This morning, Newegg ran out and was taking backorders for them. I checked with B&H Photo and they are selling for the same price but only through tomorrow. I had planned on gambling on if Newegg would drop the price for Cyber Monday but, instead, i went ahead and backordered three of them from Newegg. That way, if someone trustworthy (that leaves out Amazon) beats the current deal before the order gets filled, I can just cancel the order with Newegg and get them at the better price. If no one beats the current price, I at least have it locked in. I'm not in a hurry for them.

An expansion for Ticket to Ride for 143NOK, a Blue Snowball Ice for 348NOK, a Chromecast v3 for 319NOK, an ML120 Pro LED, and the Mass Transit expansion for Cities Skylines.

The fan and Cities Skylines expansion were for me, the rest are Christmas presents. Which I was going to buy either way.

I buy things when I need them, I dont wait around for specific days.

I keep watch for certain items I know I will need sooner or later.

I've been thinking of a new ips monitor, but I doubt I will buy one anytime soon.

I've also been thinking about an Arduino or a clone, I get all pysched up about all the different things I could do with it, via bluetooth, then I dabble abit into and get get bummed out at programming. Its just a bummer for me. I then go look to see what China has to offer and its reasonable for the things I want.

I did find a calculator, laying on the ground with a name on it, it was in a Staples in the pen aisle, it had dead batteries. Staples wanted $8 for one battery, calc requires two. Funny thing is I almost bought a bag of school shit from the Thrift store that had a calc in it, $5 or whatever a couple weeks ago. I wonder if Crap-O-Rama's batteries are the same capacity as generic house brands at Home Depot, you know the Rayovics and what have you. I would buy those today from Crap-O-Rama, I probably will actually. I feel degraded walking in there, the line ups are huge and I always joke that perhaps its welfare payday. LOLOLOL The others eyeball me.

Audio Technica ATH-M40X headphones, Logitech G910 Spark keyboard and Logitech G502 mouse.

I used Keepa(chrome extension) to know if the prices were really good or just a fake rebate and the prices for which I got them were either the lowest it's ever been on Amazon, or very close to it by like a dollar or two.

Already posted this in the "show off your latest purchase" thread.

$80 cdn/aus/nzd or usd?

I mean if thats $80 cdn/aus/nzd then thats like $50usd which is a great deal for what you are using it for. I'd compare the prices of the higher models too myself, but I'd assume the value in price isnt comparable.

It is crazy out there, I drove on by a few stores after peeking into the store through my window. I laughed when I saw a security guard at the front door of The Source, in his "power stance" LOLOLOLOL yeah the power finger on the phone LOLOL. I went into one store and bought an item, when I walked out the security gates beeped loud and I just kept on walking, no hesitation at all. Its awesome not giving a fuck!
