PC upgrade options

These options are currently on sale.

i might not go for any of them but what to know what you guys think

 

Current system:

i7-4770k

asus Z97-A

corsair ddr3 1600MHz 16gb

 

Option 1 Price: 3990kr or about 470$

Ryzen 5 2600X

Asus AM4 ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING

HyperX Fury DDR4 2666MHz 16GB

 

Option 2 Price: 4499kr or about 530$

i5-8400

ASUS ROG STRIX B360-F GAMING

HyperX Fury DDR4 2666MHz 16GB

 

Option 3 price: 6790kr or about 800$

i7-8700

ASUS ROG Strix B360-F Gaming

HyperX Fury DDR4 2666MHz 16GB

Kingston A1000 SSD 240GB M.2

It kind of depends on what you're intending to do with it. I personally think the 2600x (option 1) is the best choice but pick some nicer ram, like quality not clock speed

as someone that went from 4770k at 4.4 to 8700k at 4.7/4.9

I'd say its almost worth waiting another gen

think I went premature on my upgrade

 

edit and I could have pushed higher on my 4770k it is delidded

think I just had upgraditis

but has suited me well for multitasking

None of the above.

 

The 4770k is still perfectly capable.

 

Maybe consider upgrading your GPU instead, or going full SSD storage if your not already. Or upgrade ur monitor.
