If your phone and PC (wireless card needed) supports Miracast, then you can wirelessly project your phone on your PC.

Simple open the "Connect" app in Windows 10, and on your phone, look for "Enable wireless Display" option, turn it on, if it isn't, and have it search for a connection. You should find your PC, and connect to it. Now the Connect app on your PC will display your phone.

I don't want to connect my phone with a computer. Just a monitor.

Chromecast is one option. I don't know any Android phone that supports display output on the Type-C port (even less likely with microUSB), at least my OnePlus 3T does not support that.

Sorry miss read.

It depends on the phone. Some phone may have HDMI or DisplayPort out and it is just a matter of connecting the phone to a monitor or TV.

Some phones requires a specific dock station to give you the video output connectors (and usually USB ports as well). In this you connect the phone to the dock and the dock to your monitor via HDMI or DisplayPort connector of the dock (which ever it has, and monitor supports)

Else, you need a casting device that connects to the monitor or TV (if your TV doesn't support that feature)

So maybe I just need a USB C to HDMI connector?

Does not have a displayport ic nor does it support hdmi adapters. New phone or miracast are your options.
