Fancy Pants Cables

Unkindness

Hey all,

I'm into the final planing stages of my build and I'm stuck with a question, fancy coloured/sleeved cables or stock PSU ones? Looking to use a Aerocool Project 7 P650W and looking online, the cables look a bit drab. Are they worth changing out? Will it make a big differece besides the "looks" by swapping? Is it worth buying a roll of MDPC-X sleeve and do them myself (a bit of wiring experience with car/industrial looms but no PC background)? Can anyone recommend a good brand besides Cablemod as I find their range a tad limited for my own tastes?

Looking to run a NZXT H500 with a blue/black build.

Ta for your input!

Oh what would be the smallest amount of cables needed to run a system with all M.2 drives and no sata powered ones? MOBO 24 Pin/CPU 8 Pin/GPU 8 Pin?

The brand Up Here seem to be a good budget option.

Often you can get away with skipping the cpu 8 pin and just getting the 24 pin and GPU.

It only difference besides looks is that the cables might be a little higher quality, but that's about it

Gpu 8 pin (or more depending on gpu) mobo 24 and cpu 8 pin. Cpu skipping is not recommended AT ALL

Haha, no, you see no difference other than the looks. That's the whole point.

I've seen on Amazon but their name seems to change by the region in the world you live in with has put me off a touch. They like Cablemob for me too as the colours are a bit limited.

If there is an air cooler that makes the area hard to see and you're on a budget then yes, no extension needed.

Sorry should have clarified, if I spend $100 on cables, will there be better shielded to avoid interference or will the connectors be different, that sort of thing is what I meant.

Not really. The cables in the box are fine for that. Cables are nothing more than cables
