Folding At Home Refuses To Stop

Recommended Posts

I installed FAH this morning and I set it to always on. When I came home this afternoon none of the FAH clients let me see what I had accomplished or do anything. While this has been going on it's still going full bore on my CPU, I've tried to upgrade and uninstall but it's stuck on shutting down any local clients. I've tried to stop it through task manager and rebooting the PC.

Time to boot into safe mode then, and remove it from there.

You may have inadvertently told it to use all your CPUs and GPU and not left and CPU threads for the OS to behave.

Try just GPU Folding then add CPU but limit the number of threads reserving one per GPU and another for the OS
