How to check if someone connect to your PC?

keavlar

Hey guys,

From time to time I have suspicious behavior on my PC, like one monitor blink.

Or some app crashing.

I tried to check on the task manager, some strange behavior.

If there some process that uses Network.

Can you suggest, how to check if someone connected (not on your network) to your PC?

Thx in advance.

Turn off networking and see if it still happens. Disconnect from WiFi, Ethernet, or just remove your WiFi adapter altogether if you want to be really sure.

What exactly happens?

When I disconnect, what should I expect for?

Alot of processes use your network so it is completely normal to see regular network usage. Windows itself uses network to do things all the time.

If the problem still happens, then you probably don't have someone else screwing around with your PC.

Yeah that makes sense for all those programs. The other ones are likely Windows.

It does not happen often.

It can happen from time to time.

Use a firewall. Don't buy a paid one, there are good free ones out there. They will warn you if anyone is trying to set up an unauthorized connection with your computer

As far as I know, it is an Antivirus. I don't know if it is a firewall or not. You need a firewall

hmmm, I see my home connection, but what others 2, how can I check that?

I mean, is it shows me if some other computers connected to the same Network, or what?

So, do you know any other way maybe?

While watching the monitor that would turn off, nothing really would happen.

The connected devices via USB port still online, and did not lose connection.

And no changes applied to another monitor (as you know when one disconnected, all open apps would move to another window. )
