Seems indeed to be the best choice, free-sync would be kinda useful, but not neccesary however the amd cards are not really efficient.

No new releases in the coming months right?

2060 is planned for the start of 2019 right?

There is no such thing as RTX 2060, nVidia already released the refresh it's a GTX 1060 using 6gb of GDRR5X that performs pretty much the same as it did previously either ways.
