User F@H activity displayed on profile

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

I think I would be really neat and kind of fun to be able to have our FAH activity listed on our profile, maybe somewhere near where the badges are. This display could be enabled in the profile settings if a particular person wanted to share their information. I think it would be a fun way for people who like to fold to stay motivated.

I'm told this would probably be up to IP Board but I thought I would throw this out there anyway.

It'd be awesome if FaH didn't totally shut down my rig and make the entire system freeze every time I try and run it on full power... Cause I'm defo interested in working towards the Parkinson's stuff, my grandad has it so if I can chip in that'd be great.

You probably just need to remove the CPU slot and fold only on the GPU.

Should try that for sure then. I moved my 1080s to my 8600K rig, so the CPU won't be that much help anyways.

I'm not familiar with website making, and I assume that you are thinking of using EOC or the Stanford database for folding data, but is there a bandwidth impact to the forum when you are trying to import data from an outside database, especially with something that updates often?

we can't even do that in the signatures, images are not allowed.

since the links automatically translate to an image
sigimage.php?un=givingtnt&t=223518
^^ and even then, it fails.

 http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php/un=givingtnt/t=1223518/sigimage.gif

funny tho, sometimes it doesn't fail.

Yeah, this might have been cool but like you said this particular method didn't look that nice anyway. I think it would be really cool to have something that look a little more professional. Something that worked would be a great start though haha

This would be a great idea, motivating people to fold. I don't think a badge will work, but the signature thing doesn't look all that good either. Are there any other ways of doing this?

When I said near the badges I didn't mean a badge. I mean like having something similar to the signature thing but listed on the profile. Also much better looking than that signature thing.

I've found that if you click on the badges under your names, it actually either takes you the the folders XOC site or the F@H site. Unless you're referring to real time updates

I usually link to whichever site a user prefers to use, or copy over the link from an old badge. I'm guessing your old badge linked to the F@H site, or I made an oversight. Either way, I'll update your badge shortly. ^_^
