Thank you guys for doing this. If anyone is interested in the F@H community here. We have a thread dedicated to folders and also post when we are running events like we are now.

Here is the thread for our current Folding Month 2018 event:

Here is the community board:

And thank you to @jakkuh_t and the rest of the LMG team for bringing awareness to this!

I've just started folding, and i'm loving the project, i want to do it with my 3 available computers, but i'm having problems with the oldest one, it's and hp pavilion dv4 4710la (really old notebook) i installed win10 and all the drivers that come with it, but it seems to fold only with the cpu and not with either of the gpus (dedicated and integrated), i tried to download newer drivers, but the newer ones available from AMD are for win8.1, should i download them anyway? change to win8.1? or another option?

I'm wondering if his 920M will be quicker to do a complete Work Unit. :D

After 5 days, working for 7-9 hrs daily, my pc completed a work unit!

Well, my task manager tells me that the GPU is not that much into this work.

Your GPU is actually working quite hard it seems, see the "Compute_0" graph on the picture you posted. That is the usage from F@H.

In the F@H control panel, you probably will see your CPU and GPU working on a WU on their own (go to your system tray, the icons in the bottom right corner, next to your time and right click the F@H logo and press the advanced control tab) and you will probably see two folding slots open.

I've been meaning to get folding going on some hardware I have sitting around and the mention on last week's WAN show reminded me to get it done so thank you!

I do understand what you are talking about. What I don't understand is that "compute_0" and "compute_1" terms. The former shows around 100% of work often but the latter show only 0%. And on the left pane, the GPU 1 panel, the utilization percentage never crosses 10 to 12 mark and on average it remains at 7%.

That's why I said my GPU isn't working that much! ?

A GPU's main job is to compute large amounts of data and provide graphical output. Folding only utilizes the compute aspect hence why "Compute_0" is pegged to the max. The utilization that Windows is showing is only 3D rendering i.e. whatever you can see on your screen. This utilization will go higher if you play games or watch videos.

TL;DR You're fine. Fold away.

Here's my stats page ^^

Got my guest PC folding away since I have no friends and because that heating bill tho

7350K @ 4.7Ghz + GTX 1060 FE = 450k ppd

My main rig also fold whenever I'm not using it (~8hrs/day + over night)

7600K @ 5.0Ghz + MSI Aero 1070Ti = 800k ppd

Overall very pleased with my current setup, especially since it raises the room temp by about 9 degrees C over outside, from cold to acceptable :P

I'm wondering if I should put the cores on my shared MC server to use and fold on those? It's got 2 x5660s that are both sitting at 20% most of the time.

Daily Driver: Asus ROG Flow X13 - 5900HS/3050 Ti

Primary Desktop: NCase M1 - 5800X3D/RX 6950XT

Travel PC: Fractal Terra - 5800X/RTX 3060 Ti

I have too many computers. List here.

I've started using my 2700x, 1060 6gb desktop to fold when i'm not using it intensively. I think I have a shared username with someone else though as on my stat page it shows me having a score of 78,098,665 and 78,182 work units done in 3 different teams. stat page here

Looks like there are three ThunderDucks. The 78mil one hasn't been online for a while and they fold for xtremesystems.org. This one is you, you are folding for the LTT team. There is also a third one, but they haven't been active either.

If you haven't yet try to get a passkey here.

I've got a few different rigs going on right now, but I figured you guys would appreciate the setup I just got going. It's the most jank by far, in proper LTT fashion.

There's an i5-2500k, a GTX 760 with not so stock fans, an ancient Corsair SSD that I don't know how it still works, and two power supplies to run it, because one I didn't have any SATA connectors for.

I have registered. Probably didn't get that many points because I wasn't using the best hardware on that PC.

If it helps I've been folding since 1st November 2018 on a really low-spec workstation I knocked up using a dual-core Celeron and some other new & secondhand parts. I've racked up 18,173 points to date after completing a few WUs and been on the team since the 10th.

For some reason I thought I was folding as Sharron-Idol, so I changed my name on this group and then eventually tracked myself down as Shazzalive - which is what I  joined as.

Oh well at least I have the same identity here as on Facebook. - There is some sense to this cockup.

$400 AUD or $400 USD? Cause $400 AUD + 970 evo 500GB and I'd still be getting a better deal than buying a 2nd hand 1080 locally...

$400 US and a 970 Pro, and you can have your pick of 1080 Tis at the end of the month.

Anyone having trouble getting folding to run I'm new to it but I had everything running on 3 machines yesterday. Today only the 2 I haven't stopped are working I tried adding a 4th as well same issue it says "Requesting a work server assignment." any suggestions or do I just have to sit idle and wait forever. I let it sit for about 4 hours tonight and it never ran.

Thanks for any suggestions.
