Yeah I guess so. But idk, the marketing says its a dedicated Vega card, so maybe its a custom chip that Apple is getting

Guess we won't know until someone gets the Macbooks with Vega graphics and runs that specific terminal command to find out the CPU model.

Vega 20 is advertised as 60% better than The Radeon Pro 560X, but we will see about real world performance.

Lets hope that it is only regarding the laptop parts, the 560X is Polaris 21 really small chip so 60% over that isn't something to write home about.

Not really sure what you mean by that. 

 

The Pro 560X is like a 1050 if it gets its full clocks, so a 60% boost is massive for the MacBook Pro

Definitely don’t buy the Mac Mini. She’s got no dGPU and can only use external cards. I love the Mac but the only desktop Mac I’m getting is going to have PCIe slots :3

Well, then it certainly is a desktop replacement with decent CPU options. And it actually has an HDMI port

 

the crazy thing is I basically predicted everything about the Mac Mini down to the letter except the RAM being upgradable. I didn’t except that.

I'd recommend looking at reburbs on Apples website and see if maybe you can get like a 2016 13" MBP without a touchbar. Much better graphics and CPU performance, but just way worse battery life. 

 

Depends on what you want to do with your laptop I guess.
