Until this point I also never had any problems. The support was simply amazing. Its part of their buisnes model, they can afford the very very accommodating support and yeah have satisfied customers that way

I'd just try again. See if you get a different representative.

Why do the shippers even leave packages at the door, its just too easy for poor people to steal your shindigs.

Did they leave your package at the door?

Blaming poor people is a bit much but porch pirates (the common term for low lifes who steal packages that have been left at people's doors) are a real problem.

It was a joke, but there is a solid basis for a good argument. Rich people do steal too, but again I was joking.

A theft crime of opportunity can claim any tax bracket. Criminals gambling on early christmas gifts. Stores and shippers should start disallowing door dropoff.

Setup a camera and leave a box of heavy bricks and do some civilian justice!

Then when you hone in on their residence, start dialing.

I want a package trap now, maybe rig a door or something so that if the package gets moved the person gets locked in. . .

make sure it is a heavy package so that no one would be trying to move it unless they want to steal it.

it's a fairly pricey item right? you should challenge their argument. file a case against them , cannot sit there with a stolen merch & letting them have your hard earned money for free just to deliver an empty box.

Details separate people.

What if it would be a really nice empty box?

I once paid for auto parts from Crappy Tire, brand new auto parts, the box had used parts in it. I left the store, and came back the next day. The manager was curious to say the least. But I did get my cash back.

Someone around my neck of the woods desert actually did that only they put "calling cards" from their dog in the package. I've heard some police departments are putting out bait packages with GPS trackers in them.

Did you have Prime? Usually they kiss your ass if you're a prime member.

Side note:

Every morning on my commute to work, the business strip I work on has about 8 Amazon prime vans drive between 7:50-8:00 AM. Every other day the maintenance guys find several opened Amazon boxes. Either some of them were completely empty, or people had ravaged and took some of the order.

They have to fulfill your order, simple as that.

Good luck resolving your issue.

if you think they kiss your ass when your a prime member, try spending over 100K a year on amazon items.. i just purchased a hot swap computer case to hold 10 drives for an Unraid setup, and while it was prime they shipped it from california and screwed up, it said it wouldnt be here for a week and a half through UPS, i contacted them, the guy instantly told me im being fowarded to a supervisor, and the supervisor reovernighted the item..

That will get you arrested for anything from reckless endangerment to murder.

Stories like this is why I pretty much always record myself opening packages I receive these days... Show the sealed tape to be intact and all that, no cut from start to finish and the camera always aimed at the package itself.
If the guy who got a brick from Amazon didn't film himself opening a box of brick, he likely would never have been sent a new one... again and again.
