OLED Display using LCD Smartie

koogar

Hi Guys,

Just finished my LCD Smartie mod, using an Arduino and a OLED 16x2 character Display to show live PC Stats ETC.

You can see here how the OLED has amazing viewing angles compared to LCD

Here is a larger 20x4 character display

That's pretty damn awesome. It would be nice if you could make a casing for it and put it in a 5.25" bay, so you can monitor things from there.

Yes I was thinking of making a bay for it. I think you could shoe horn a 20x2 display in a single front slot.

As it is USB, it may be more useful with a 20X4 display in a small standalone enclosure on the desk, as this makes it a lot more visible than on the front of a Case.

Also this makes it a portable tool for testing other PC Builds :)

Here a pic of my Previous LCD enclosure
