Xeon w3565 vs x5670.. which is better?

Hey guyz..

Sorry for my bad english

I have only two options.. xeon x5670 and w3565.. i have to spend 20$ more for x5670 .. i wanted to ask which is better for gaming.. i can spend 20$ more for x5670 if it is better for gaming.. i know it has more cores and threads but a littlle bit lower clock speed.. and i cannot overclock them I don't have a overclocking board.. i also make videos for youtube so i know more cores help in that but the main purpose is gaming so tell me that x5670 is better then w3565 in terms of gaming?

Btw overall specs are

W3565

8 gb ram

525 watt powersupply

Hd 7450.. but i will change the gpu to the rx 460 or r9 270" or a gtx 750ti

They’re both very old... but the W3565 will probably be better due to the higher clock speed. I don’t know much about CPUs that old but you can likely upgrade to something that will do you better than both of those for about the same price

My Build, v2.1 --- CPU: i7-8700K @ 5.2GHz/1.288v || MoBo: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming || RAM: 4x4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 2666 14-14-14-33 || Cooler: Custom Loop || GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Black, on water || PSU: EVGA G2 850W || Case: Corsair 450D || SSD: 850 Evo 250GB, Intel 660p 2TB || Storage: WD Blue 2TB || G502 & Glorious PCGR Fully Custom 80% Keyboard || MX34VQ, PG278Q, PB278Q

Audio --- Headphones: Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX || Amp: Schiit Audio Magni 3 || DAC: Schiit Audio Modi 3 || Mic: Blue Yeti

[Under Construction]

My Truck --- 2002 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke || 6-speed

My Car --- 2006 Mustang GT || 5-speed || BBK LTs, O/R X, MBRP Cat-back || BBK Lowering Springs, LCAs || 2007 GT500 wheels w/ 245s/285s

The Experiment --- CPU: i5-3570K @ 4.0 GHz || MoBo: Asus P8Z77-V LK || RAM: 16GB Corsair 1600 4x4 || Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo || GPUs: Asus GTX 750 Ti, || PSU: Corsair TX750M Gold || Case: Thermaltake Core G21 TG || SSD: 840 Pro 128GB || HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

R.I.P. Asus X99-A motherboard, April 2016 - October 2018, may you rest in peace. 5820K, if I ever buy you a new board, it'll be a good one.

The w3565 is a 45nm quad core. The x5670 is a 32nm 6 core. 32nm typically (only tested ~36 45nm and ~50 32nm Xeons on this platform) clocks a little better given a decent board, though I would recommend the x5675 - its only marginally more expensive but its a higher bin and released later (the CPUs from '11 typically clock a little better as well).

There is no reason to spend more then 1€ on one of those 45nm CPUs given the 32nm ones existence. If you only need 4 cores you might as well get an E5640 - about 10$ and easier to cool then the others, 4.2-4.4 GHz should be doable with most examples.

Xeon e5649@4.4 GHz on Asus Rampage II Extreme or Gigabyte x58a-OC (whatever I feel like to set up at a time) , 6x4 GB Kingston HyperX 1600, Gainward GTX 670 Phantom, Samsung 840 Evo 240 GB, BeQuiet L8 530W

I was looking for x5675 earlier but i forgot to tell you that where i live there is very little chance that i can get a processor only.. and most famous online store doesn't support my country.. that is a problem.. i have only one onlinse shopping store and i always search there and there is no x5675 processor.. only processor i found for my board is x5670 and i know if i will wait 1-2 weeks that processor will also be purchased by somebody i have very little time.. so tell me if i change my processor from w3565 to x5670.. will i get improve in performance or will get worst?

x5670 is still a significantly better choice then the w3565, I was just saying in most cases the x5675 is only a little bit more expensive ;)

X5670 is better because it has more cores and it should run a lot cooler than the W3565.
