So far as I'm able to find, the "hifi" port is just a different dedicated DAC/(amp?), "ESS Sabre HiFi"

so i should use it if i can?

If it's working, why not?

Audio is not a strong point in knowledge for me. I don't have any experience with it this port, so I don't know if it tampers with the audio it's outputting or not. If it truly is an amp, it may allow you to drive higher impedance headphones better than the standard port, but again, I don't have experience with it, so I can't confirm.

Give it a shot, compare it to the "standard" jack, see if you can tell a difference. If you can, pick the one you like better.
