I've merged all threads about this into here and will continue doing so.  Up to 8 now.  Please stop making more.

Estimated Time Frame of Youtube Servers Going Down

  1. 1. I have noticed that from multiple sources of information that the YouTube video streaming platform is down as of now. I know that Google has not officially announced any time frame of when this issue would be fixed although please fill out the poll of estimation of how much downtime is going to occur (further) before normal operation returns.

I was stuck on the toilet with nothing but the news app on my phone

I know that Google has not officially stated a time frame for when the site is going to go back up although does anyone have any theories or estimates towards when (as in time-frame) the site is to return to normal operation again?

Worst thing is, that I was in the middle of setting up adblocking through OpenWRT and hosts files... and wasted a long time trying to find out which hosts was blocking youtube...
Then I checked the news and found out the problem isn't on my side... God damn it.

The world shall now descend into anarchy. 

 

Though interesting enough, I left this open when I went out for a bit. And it seems to play fine. It even loads as I scrub to areas that don't show indications of being loaded. Changing to 1080P which forces it to buffer again didn't seem to break it.
