Estimated Time Frame of Youtube Servers Going Down

  1. 1. I have noticed that from multiple sources of information that the YouTube video streaming platform is down as of now. I know that Google has not officially announced any time frame of when this issue would be fixed although please fill out the poll of estimation of how much downtime is going to occur (further) before normal operation returns.

Youtube , went , down. As I was writing this text , it had been about 30 minutes since the mogul that controls our ears and eyes had perished. Error 500 was appearing on most of my open youtube tabs. The dark snow of invalid ID videos would engulf my screen ohh god , no. I decided to type in youtube.com in a futile attempt to make things work but things went blank. Too blank. No titles , no thumbnails , No view count. We were doomed. I Rushed to twitter to see if the official youtube account had something to say about this but no. We were in the dark ages.

Huh. I was just watching Paul and Kyle's livestream when YouTube put an overlay that said "This video is unavailable" on top of it, although the video and audio was still working perfectly. I've never seen anything like this tbh...

Everything is broken,  8.8.8.8 is also down.  Changed to 1.1.1.1 I think google may have started a feed back loop with their DNS service.   Therefore, google messed up real bad.

it's down alright, Twitter is going nuts and news outlets are reporting it.

it's official. the entirety of YouTube is down.

not that I care, got a TB of movies and TV shows that I have, I'll just watch one of them...

I actually archive a lot of my Youtube entertainment for ever such situation so it's not that detrimental for me.

 

I could also just do something productive like help people here with their issues. Computer issues. I'm no shrink.

Effing SMB/SMB1 is busting my balls.  Need to sort out my NAS/drobo without opening up holes.

I started getting a 503 error around 6:15 PST and it still hasn't resolved. Maybe someone's hacking YouTube so my recommendations won't be consistently awful
