Can somebody help me with my Logitech Driving Force GT?

So...i bought this wheel and I've tried everything I can find...

EDIT:( Let me know if you can see the images)

These are my issues:

1.LGS doesn't recognize Wheel

2. Windows is confused about what wheel is plugged in

3. Some buttons and dials are not being acknowledged

4. Can't find legacy or third party wheel profiler

Here are some screenshots and descriptions:

If you search for "Game controllers" on the start menu and open it, do you see your wheel there? If you do and hit Properties, you should see the Logitech Profiler to configure the wheel.

This is the window you want:

As above, the DFGT uses a legacy version of the software, called Logitech Profiler, not any version of the new 'Gaming Software' manager.

Although as a precautionary question, the wheel hasn't been damaged in any way? And if you're in the UK....wanna buy mine? ;)

It thinks it's a G25? That's very strange... you're using this version of the software right?

Logitech Profiler 5.10.127 (latest version) Windows 10, 64bit

It's a direct link, taken from the Logitech website. Make sure to entirely uninstall all the previous drivers, unfortunately I can't remember if the installer gives you an option to clean old versions. You may have to just use add/remove programs in windows.

I didn't notice that either and it's very strange indeed.

@izanji what does your wheel look like? Does it have a up/down shifter attached to the right side of the wheel or does it come with a separate 6 speed manual shifter?

The left is a Drive Force GT. The right is a G25.

I have a Drive Force GT laying around somewhere. I'll see if I can get mine working with the software on Logitech's website tomorrow if you can't solve this before then.

I mean, the software is not the issue I suspect. I've been using that exact version for the past 6 months on my wheel, and I suspect it's the same software I've used for years. It freezes for a second loading the 'game database', but Logitech Profiler has done that for as long as I can remember.

Make sure it's running in the system tray, then plug your wheel in. It should calibrate i.e. spin left, right, and return to centre.

If you open up the profiler from the system tray, and wait for it to load(it may look like it's frozen, don't worry), it should show your wheel automatically.

Open it manually then from the start menu...I can't remember if it has an option to start with windows, but mine does. So it must be a tick box somewhere.

...I mean, I can do, but that shouldn't be necessary there's nothing different in mine than what you would get from installing using the link I posted. It's even installed to the default location.

What seems to be the problem now?

I haven't managed to find my wheel, but what if you do a complete uninstallation of the driver and LGS and then a clean reinstall?

With your wheel plugged in. go to Device Manager (right click on the Start menu and select Device Manager), open the "Sound, video and game controllers" list and right click on your wheel. Select "Uninstall device" and in the pop-up check the "Delete the driver software for this device" and hit Uninstall.

Unplug your wheel and uninstall the Logitech Gaming Software and any other software related to your wheel if that came with it.

Restart your computer and run the LGS installer again and connect the wheel when it asks you to.

Hopefully your wheel should show up as a Drive Force GT in the Game Controllers menu and the Logitech Profiler appears when you hit Properties.

Go to the Device Manager again and find the wheel. Right click it and select Properties this time. In the "Details" tab, select "Hardware IDs" in the drop-down menu and copy what it says there. It should be "USB\VID_XXXX&PID_XXXX etc.

Really? That's even stranger. C294 is the Driving Force EX (black and blue wheel with no shifter). If it registered as a Drive Force GT the PID should be C29A. :/

You can try to follow the instructions for other Logitech peripherals and see if it works: https://community.logitech.com/s/question/0D55A00007VYhlgSAD/k750-keyboard-stopped-working-with-windows-10-1803
