There is a reason why PUBG reach top of the Steam Chart ( and it's stil there). Despite all the problems it has, it's still the standard of BR. I'm wondering you still haven't try Batlle Royale until now. BR is a new genre ( well, not new anymore), it introduces new kind of fps: a slow-paced fps.

 

With $30, it's worth every cent you spent. I spent around 200 hrs in Overwatch and BF1 this year. For PUBG, it's a sweet 1200 hours. So it's self-explanatory.

 

BR is not for everyone, but you should at least try to know. ( BR is unlike BF or CoD game where you can just mindless storm the front, kill some and die in the process, respawn, rinse and repeat. In PUBG, every wrong move will cost you life. Every sound, every movement can be important, environmental awareness is the most important factor in the game).

You don't have to hot drop into sea of insanely accurate players. There are plenty options to avoid ( You can even drop into completly empty big cities as well). 

 

Been with Battlefield series since 2005, I never realize BR is the genre for me. Love playing it.

I think it’s prolly okay but on its way out as king of the kill, the culling, h1z1, arma 3 battle royal, infestation z, dayZ stand-alone, dayZ mod & arma 2 dayZ before it have all fallen out of popularity.

This really isn't the deal breaker. The 1 life is the deal breaker for me.

PUBG is good, but Blackout is quite good at the moment so I would recommend saving a bit and buying that instead. Doing so would also gain to access to Zombies and MultiPlayer
