Dell Latitude D600 HELP

Hello Problem with my old school dell, power it on and the lock with the A flashes for some seconds then the laptop shuts off.

 

nothing on the screen.   

 

definatly getting power and getting charged . dont know what the source is HELP

Sounds like a processor issue

how many sticks of ram does it more then 1 ?

take each one and try to start the computer with 1 ram and try both sticks and switch slots

look at the troubleshooting manual and check the # of flashes for an error code.

wow , that worked, but now i  got the battery light flahsinhg 5 times red and then going green, i think this is for a bad battery right?
