Recommend Me PC Games!

Supahh

I recently switched from iMac to PC and am loving the flexibility!

I haven't actually downloaded any games apart from my owned steam games and am looking for some suggestions ?

Old Specs: i5, DDR3 1600 (21.5 1080p)

New Specs: i7-8700, GTX 1060 6GB, 8GB DDR4 (24" 144hz 1080p 1ms)

My Current Games:
Fortnite / CS:GO (I mainly surf) / Rocket League / Minecraft

I can typically spend up to $100 on some new games. I'm willing to extend this to $150 if some games are worth the price. I'm currently looking to buy overwatch / forza horizon 4.

CPU: Intel i7-8700

GPU: MSI GTX 1060 6GB GAMING X

What genre are you most interested in?

I mostly play first person games like on my list, and I'd like to explore some more with my new pc and also have a different genre of games. So it's really mixed! I'm willing to try new things if they're worth it.

First of all, I recommend you bookmark the following websites so that you can get the best deals on PC games and never overpay for them. I'll start with the best ones first.

  • https://isthereanydeal.com/ - Basically your best bet to never miss a deal. Turquoise tabs are free. You can also find ANY games historical LOW price. VERY useful.
  • https://www.fanatical.com/ - Used to be Bundle Stars. Daily deals usually are decent. https://www.fanatical.com/en/latest-deals is the latest deals. https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle are the latest bundles. This site is by far the best in 2018 aside from the Steam summer sale.
  • https://www.humblebundle.com/store - This is another great site for games. IMO the Humble monthly is nowhere near worth it. They make it out to be but it's not. The best deals are the free games you earn from visiting the site a certain amount of days in a row. And of course the $1 bundles.
  • https://www.greenmangaming.com/ - Another favorite of mine. Deals can be found but don't let the red % tags fool you. Use https://isthereanydeal.com/ to find historical low.
  • https://www.gog.com/ - This site is mostly for older games. You can still find good ones every now and then though, just not as often. Also GOGalaxy is here. Another gaming client to play games from.
  • https://gamestore.razer.com/home.html - Almost like Green Man Gaming just not as good. Haven't found many deals here but I keep waiting for them to surprise me.
  • https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/browse - They used to have a monthly game they would give away but now they just have deals every now and then. I snagged BF1 and ALL the DLC from here last month for just $5.00. Do NOT sign up for Origin monthly or ANY monthly sub ANYwhere else for that matter. Again, they're just not worth it. My opinion anyway. Origin is also another gaming client you can only play certain games from. BF1/4 and Mass Effect being a few of them.
  • https://uplay.ubi.com/ - Basically like Origin or Steam. Another client to run games on. Sometimes they give away free games so it's something to have on your PC. Some games you can only play through UPlay so just install it. The Division and Watch Dogs 2 being two of those games. I got a good 10 other games for free here during Christmas of 2016. Solid titles too.
  • http://www.hirezstudios.com/ - Another gaming client. Useful to play Paladins, Realm Royale and Smite. ALL free.
  • https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/ - Another gaming client. I had to install this to play Diablo 3. I think you may have to install it to play Overwatch. Can't remember.
  • https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/home - Yet another gaming client. I believe this is where you have to play Fortnite from. It's a decent client so I threw it on here.

Well that's all I got just to get you started. I don't think I left out much. Except for Steam but I'm pretty sure you know about them already. Their summer sale is by far the best you'll find to stack up your Steam library. Christmas and Halloween sales are also pretty decent. Pretty much all these sites have sales during major holidays.

Well good luck with your new PC gaming. I hope this helps. I do recommend one more thing you NEED to do asap. Add 1 more stick of 8GB to your PC while the prices are decent right now. It will help to experience very minimal stuttering, if any. With just 8GB, you'll run into stuttering before you know it.

P.S. Free to play games are your best bet while you wait for game sales. Paladins and Warframe being the first you must install and play. Here is more to get you started...

The Amazing Eternals
ArcheAge
Argo
Atlas Reactor
Battleborn
Battlefield 2 Revived
*Blacklight: Retribution
BlackShot: Mercenary Warfare
Black Mesa
*Black Squad
*Brawlhalla
*Creativerse
Cry of Fear
Devillian 2
*Dirty Bomb
*Dota 2
Dungeon Defenders 2
Everquest
Forza Motorsport 6 Apex
*Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex(I think they shut down, which is a shame)
Gigantic
*Goldeneye Source
*Halo Online
Hawken
Heroes and Generals
Killer Instinct
Law Breakers
*League of Legends
*Line of Sight
*Loadout
Master X Master
Neverwinter
*Paladins
*Paragon
*Path of Exile
*Planetside 2
Phantomers Online
Point Blank
Rift
Runescape
Smite
*Survarium
Tactical Intervention
*Team Fortress 2
Trackmania Nations Forever
Tribes: Ascend
Unreal Tournament
Warface
*Warframe
Warmode
War Thunder
Wildstar

The ones with an * by them just mean I have them installed on my PC. I know I left out quite a few other free to play games but this list is not my main one so, yea. Also, if I were you, I'd save that $100 for when major sales arise through the sites I have linked to you. They happen just about all the time so saving would be wise to obtain games at their historical lows.

Go to GOG.com and see what’s still free.

I recommend rainbow six siege. It’s super fun.

If you like surfing and FPS, get titanfall 2. I beat that game 3 times because it’s so frikin awesome. Multiplayer is super fun too.

You dont have half life 2 for some weird reason... also steam summer sale. The winter sale comes around Christmas and lasts a bit into the new year. Winter is almost as good as summer.

Try some different kinds of games too. Arma 3 is a military simulator. Some clans have been posting recruitments in LFG. Modding  with steam workshop is super easy. (Literally click a button and it downloads it for you.)

world of Warcraft is free to play up to level 20.

Try overwatch.

Real time strategy games and “4X” games are loved. Dawn of war dark crusade is my favorite RTS. You can get all 4 original dawn of war and expansions for cheap during a sale. Soulstorm should only be played with the apocalypse mod, the campaign sucks & everything about it sucks except that it has the apocalypse mod.

I have a pc games list in my signature. It’s incomplete but has a lot of games listed. The alphabetical list has the most games in it. Short blurb about gameplay too.

Outlast II is a good game, it puts us in a gloomy and unhealthy atmosphere. We are constantly afraid, the graphics are finer for better immersion and the soundtrack is good.
Nevertheless, some passages are really frustrating for their difficulty sometimes poorly measured.

The only thing I know about Outlast 2 is that people didn't like it as much as the first.

Games like COD & Battlefield aren't that good for me as they go for quite a long time sometimes. Throughout those answers, I liked Quake Champions, Overwatch, Titan Fall 2, Doom 2016, & Rainbow Six Siege.

But I'm also looking for some non shooting games ;D, thanks for the replies so far, any more games? Now that I've given more context.

Take your pick dude... https://store.steampowered.com/tag/browse/#global_492

Tag exactly what you're looking for and when the results come up, whatever catches your eye, add it to your wish list. Then wait for the big sales around Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If you like fast paced hectic FPS games I'd say Crysis and FEAR. FEAR is less taxing if you don't have a good PC.

I've been playing the hell out of Yakuza 0, at apparently 80 hours and barely into the story... but I might be playing it wrong... I think you're supposed to stretch out all the side stuff over the game but I just... did it all at once...

If you like Yakuza check out Sleeping Dogs. It's basically GTA with martial arts.

It's like a mix of GTA and Mafia.

Not as full of goofy bullshit as Yakuza though, so the fun-factor is lessened.
