digital rgb USB or PCI-E based 5V addressable RGB controller?

Hi guys!

I have preordered the Evolv X and it should be delivered by the end of this month.

I'm looking into ways to control the digital RGB strips of the case.

The case will house two systems, one based on an AsRock AB350I Gaming ITX motherboard, and the other one on an Asus Maximus VIII Hero motherboard.

The AsRock has an RGB header but it's a 12V one (for non-addressable RGB strips).

So my question is : is there a product on the market which would be either USB- or PCI-E-based and which would let me control these digital RGB strips?

 

So far I haven't seen any, but given how few motherboards actually have 3-pin DRGB headers, it really bogs me that there aren't any such solutions on the market.

 

Could you guys please suggest ways to achieve this? :)

Edit : I believe not, since the controller seems not to be able to be controlled through software.

Sooo... I have found ONE PCI-E based addressable RGB controller. It's a Lian Li one and it's included with the "Strimer 24 pin" kit... which is very expensive considering I'm only interested in the controller...

 

Edit : PCI-E is just the form-factor but that model does not connect in any way to the data slots of the mobo.

I wonder how people are going to control their A-RGB lightings with not-last-gen motherboards...

i know this was a while ago but did you ever find a solution to this? i have the asus maximus hero viii motherboard as well and just got a phanteks light strip kit that uses Digital RGB headers (5v 3-pin) and my motherboard does not have that kind of connector. did you ever find an adapter solution for your system? doesnt look like anyone chimed in to try to help

the ek loop is buggy and expensive

its 40 bucks and controls up to 6 ARGBs

 

well up to 80 split offs on each and no more than 240 total but that would all be daisy chained stuff that would change all of the ones connected to a single one at once
