@jakkuh_t I’m guessing Asus came through with the patch you needed.

My EVGA 1060 6GB short board presently in my workstation hits 72C with a 70% fan at 21-25C ambient.

My EVGA 1060 6GB SC2 dual Fan which is the lower card in my main folding rig hits 59-62C at 70% fan.

Both produce 390-440K depending on the WU

I’ve been impressed with the 2070. It’s hitting 58-61C at 70% fan 1.2-1.3M PPD in my test box but it has great better airflow compared to the other two systems.

If NVidia comes out with a 2060 it could be a really nice card for efficient folding depending on the price point.  I’m guessing $350-400US given the current pricing trends.

70% fan on 2070 not 50%

IKR, I was expecting like 15-20 people. maybe 30....

If it was that few people maybe I'd actually be in top 10 :D

Boom!  Officially top 3000 on the team now!  CPU only baby!  LOL

The progress drastically slowed down once I got above the 3250 mark though.  I was hoping for top 2500 by end of month, but I don't think it is going to happen since not only is there more activity up here, I'm also going to be taking down a system for maintenance.  :(

No problem. Thanks for contributing we appreciate all the help we have received from people participating in the competition and all the others who are helping out as well. We've made some amazing progress this month for the LTT Folding Team and, most importantly, for the researchers who we are lending the excess capacity we have on our systems to.

As part of the wrap up for the competition we will be looking at the points contributed overall as well as the breakdown of points contributed by the competition members so we should be able to infer and acknowledge the contribution of the rest of the LTT Folding Team over the month.

The competition is mostly about bragging rights ? and getting a special badge for your profile. Badges are also available for anyone, however, after 21 WUs are completed and after 1, 25, 100 and 500 Million Points are contributed.

If we do a lessons learnt after the competition is over I believe it should include:

  • Have the Competition announced well in advance via shout-outs on the WAN Show and on the Forums
  • Have any give-aways from LTT announced with the Competition
  • Have the Sign Up opened a few weeks before the Competition starts for people to work out any bugs and close on the first day of the Competition

I am just happy i can help. I have nearly doubled my points ! Nearly 4M at the point of writing.

I think i will be folding after the month is over, but not at the same level as now. Electricity is not cheap in my country, so this month is going to be a bit expensive. But i will manage. :)

I hope to see more competitions like this in the future. I don't follow forums that much, but i watch the WAN show and nearly all other LTT videos, so a shoutout would get my attention.
