Yeah, this is in the process of being acted on, they will be given out over the next few weeks most likely as @Whiskers has time. Please do not message a mod for the badge, if you are on the list, the badge will come!

I'm assuming for this particular badge there will be a compiled list for people who qualified. It's probably more efficient than just flooding @Whiskers's inbox. (As much as I'm sure he'd LOVE that! /s)

welp, i hate to be the party pooper but there is a list with all the names on it already.

giving out the badges for these people is literally just copy pasting the name into the forum's search bar and handing out the badge.

 

i know the people organizing this are doing it in their free time, and there's the holidays coming up, but why is it taking as long as folding month itself to hand out the badges?

don't get me wrong, i'm grateful for what everybody organizing this is doing, but i can't help but feel like it we've been waiting too long already.

the lack of any info/updates/ETA's on this isn't helping either

This is getting a bit excessive, and my impatient ass has been being hella patient. Hell if I could do it I would waste an hour or two just to yeet badges at people to get this done with.

I know everyone has been very patient when it comes to this. But normal workflow for handing out badges on the forum is maybe one or two a day. I am not a mod so I don't know exactly what goes into actually setting the badge. But beyond it being the holidays and everyone being extremely busy (4th quarter is always the worst in my industry) we are asking for 154 badges all of which need to be double checked for integrity and on top of all of that these badges are completely new and didn't even exist as a thought 2 1/2 months ago. I do appreciate all of your patience and @Ben Quigley and myself are working with Whiskers to make this process as smooth as possible. I assure you that you all will have your forum bling.

Afaik, whiskers is the only person that gives folding related badges, and he’s not exactly the most active member. Im not surprised they’re not out yet. And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing either, to those working on it. I know real life comes first, there are many days that even I don’t get on the forums I’m so busy/tired.

This is definitely true. And to be fair part of this delay is a combination of whiskers and I both running into the busiest weeks of our lives at the same time which slowed down communication between us as well.

I'd normally make a joke that it might come out after Kingdom Hearts 3 since that was an unknown (indefinite) date for so long, but y'know.... It comes out in exactly three weeks. So maybe Half Life 3?

Hey all, I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to push the badges out. Unfortunately I've been quite ill and busy over the Christmas and New Year period and haven't had the time or ability to start assigning them. But at last, the badges have been handed out!

 

The event badges should have been handed out to everyone who met the requirements for them. If you believe you were supposed to receive the badges and they haven't appeared on your account yet, please send me a PM and I'll sort it for you. Hopefully though everyone has received their badges without issue.
