it looks like they are still trying to make their Edge shit work which means get ready for random screen touches when holding the phone like a regular human person

Honestly, many current phones aren't very good in terms of ergonomics.

While much better than last time, the Edge phones from Samsung have a tendency to register palm touches. The iPhone X/XS/XS Max aren't made for people with hobbit hands, most glass phones are slippery, and more.

Hell, I remember using my Moto Z without any attachments on it and it was one of the least ergonomic phones I've used, not just because it was ludicrously thin but also due to its sharp angular flat back design. It really was uncomfortable.

If the screen isn't a sphere then I will be disappointed. Everyone is doing flat screens but what about spherical? It's never been done so someone needs to start innovating and think outside of the box and it a sphere.

This is why the iPhone 6/6S/7/8 are so good. The ergonomics are on point. Yes the bezels are ginormous by today’s standards. Yes the screens could be sharper. Yes the batteries could be larger. With these new iPhones and Samsungs I just wonder if they’re built for human hands. There’s just nothing to grab onto. It’s all screen!

The iPhone 6 design wasn't perfect too.

It was pretty slippery for one (even worse on the 8 because glass), and had the sin of a power button which directly opposed the volume rocker.

This looks like the definition of iterative. "major design change! new colors!"

It has a thinner bezel and an in-screen fingerprint reader..

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

I always had a case on my iPhone 7 and it’s very easy to hold that way. Any case fixes the problem of being too slippery. I do struggle keeping the phone in my hand without a case because it’s so thin and slippery. I didn’t know that the power button was in a weird spot on the iPhone 6.

Who actually takes a $800+ phone with them without a case? Glossy colors as a selling point to me is like trying to push a salad on a Texan at a BBQ.

That coat will just be covered by a matte case.

I find my Xs is pretty ergonomic. Try one out.

can we stop with this glass and metal BS and go back to when phones were designed functionally?

They're rumored to remove the chin and put in display fingerprint scanner and speakers. That's a fundamental design change.

You cannot see the fingerprint scanner or speaker change, and even with the chin change I wouldn’t say it “will look completely different”, so my point still stands.

See? No. Notch. THIS is how you design a phone for maximum screen to body ratio.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Doesn't necessarily mean the actual S10 will look like that though

I remembered how good the leaked render for the HTC One M9 looked but the actual phone we got looked nothing like that

When I read "completely different" in the title, I was expecting S10 to look like a donut, toroid shaped. Now, that would be "completely different"...

Thats actually not a bad idea...

Though my Note 3 and case I use contrasting colours. Looks nice. :)
