[S] within a quote block converts to strike out

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

This happened several times within my topic:

I'm on Windows 7 Enterprise 6.1.7601 SP1 64 Bit using Chrome 69.0.34.97.100 64-bit.

Doing:

Quote

and then other text causes the "" to disappear and become strikeout

As seen below

That is mostly working as intended - the forum supports BBCode, and the BBCode for strikeout is [s].

It doesn't matter whether it's in a quote or not - it will strike everything until it reaches the [/s] or the end of the post.

You can avoid it by changing the font or style (bold, italics, etc) of the s (not the brackets as well though - there needs to be some sort of formatting change somewhere in the tag).

I don't work for Floatplane Media, so any Floatplane comments that I make are my own and may be incorrect or in conflict with the official view.

That's a bit annoying. Honestly with the WYSIWYG editor the forum is using it shouldn't be converting anything after save is pressed but that's understandable now that it's been pointed out.
