1070 TI SLI Vs 1080 TI

cadabri

Hey guys,

I found an offer on facebook marketplace for two 1070 ti Aeros for 250 each when bought together, but I was wondering if it would be better to use the two graphics cards in SLI or just to get a single 1080 TI? Thanks!

1070 ti sli will easily outperform a single 1080 ti. if it scales well and you have a hb bridge. it really depends on what games you play. look up if they scale up with sli.

it's always better to buy a single better card then 2 weaker cards, as it doesn't scale in your favor 99/100 times. only SLI / NVLINK / crossfire if you already have the best card atm

From the recent flood of SLI vs NVlink benchmarks I would say 1080 Ti.
In rare cases SLI scales above 60 percent but always introduces micro stutter, uses more power and produces a lot of noise.
In the majority of cases it appears to be scaling to only 20%-40% so about equal to a sinlge 1080 Ti.
SLI will work flawless if you are lucky but from it seems you have to usually fiddle with it.

It will be better. As they are close to 1080’s.

If you really wonna try it and have system that will keep up, go for it. Haven’t bought  a single game that doesn’t scale.

i can only imagine how hot and LOUD two of these shit ass cards might run togheter in the same system in SLI.

Personally i'd much rather have a good 1080ti instead.
