How cool is this?  The motherboard comes with a second thick PCB, showing all the board layout details and standoffs you install to turn it into a test bench....

I ran realbench for 8 hrs overnight using 16gb of memory.  High temp was 81c under a H115i on the test bench.  This was at 5.1Ghz and 1.315v no AVX offset and memory 4000MHZ 17-17-17-37.  I just fired up OCCT Small Sets and am going to let that run for 8 hrs and see what it does.

The board is very very nice.  Well thought out, unique, and overbuilt.  Right now I am doing stability testing at 5.2GHz 1.330v with no AVX offset.  About an hour into Realbench...so far so good.

@TahoeDust Makin me miss my 3960x I have a 2700x and it's great value, but I miss my single clock performance, i'm hoping 7nm Ryzen will be able to OC.

 

I was able to get my 3960x to 5ghz back in the day, albeit, i had an amazing motherboard, with a 120mm taped to the the VRM's

Here is what I am looking at right now for a 24/7 overclock.

 

5.1Ghz

1.325v

0 AVX offset

Mem 4000MHz 17-17-17-37

 

It is still on the test bench and under the H115i.  I am sure it will run cooler on my loop, but I doubt it will get me enough headroom for 5.2Ghz.  I am pretty happy with it so far.

I bought my chip from someone who was doing a round of binning.  It was sold to me as a 5.1Ghz chip dellided with a Rocketcool copper IHS installed.  He was asking $565 which compared to what I have seen 5.1Ghz binned chips sell for online, sounded like a good deal....I was a little skeptical.  It seems to be as advertised.  I appear to be 24/7 stable at 5.1Ghz (no AVX offset) at 1.32v with x47 cache and memory running 4200 17-17-17-37.  

 

I have run 12hrs Prime95 (no AVX)blend, 1hr Prime95 (no AVX) Small ffts, 4hrs OCCT Small Set, 2hr RealBench 16gb, 1hr AIDA64, and 1hr Karhu RAM Test.  

 

I think I got my money’s worth…
