How many fans can a fan-header run, if a fan header can run fans?

Yeah, basically how many fans can run on one header without complicasions? :)

(How much wood would a woodchuck chuck. If a woodchuck could chuck wood?)

Thats MY opinion up there, not the ultimate option.

It depends on the motherboard and how many watts the fans need indeed, no way for us to tell you a general answer.

I have the MSI Z87M-G43, but i can't find how much wattage there is going through the header on the website: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z87M-G43.html#/?div=Detail

i imagine quite a few you may have to boost a little higher than it reads but i would say 4 easy if you connect them in paralrell you will decreased resistance but require more current (amps) to drive them i wouldent push it past 2A but the fans have how much they use on the sticker

Well, in a fan its not like working with the "power box" in physics class, where there is a input and a output, on the fans if i use splitters its say, all 4 of them, are induvidually wired so would using splitters be a series or a parallel connection (im having a hard time visualizing) :)

just think if your fan doubles in size it uses twice the power and soon and there will be a peak limit that can be delivered to it

Basic fan controllers run 4 per. So unders 4 is in safezone.

aahhhhh damn it my brain still hurts from trying to figure out what tje wood chuck could chuck now fan headers sheeett.....
