Hi,

since the TNR section was simply changed to just "Tech News", I think the description should be updated to reflect that as well.

Technically they are a gray area at the moment and so I would generally avoid posting them.

Nothing has changed in the Tech News Posting Guidelines, so review megathreads are just as permitted now as they were a year ago.

 

The change of title for the section was mostly to stop people from posting their own reviews there, so collected reviews of major products is still fine (provided that it's newsworthy or highly anticipated). I might update the subtitle, but I don't think it needs to be done.

The tech news posting guidelines have not had any changes for over a year. The Community Standards were updated by Whiskers, in collaboration with the mod team, but the tech news guidelines have not.

I've been planning on reviewing and updating them for a while, but as mortis said no changes have been enacted quite yet. I already have some ideas on changes I'd like to make so I'll discuss them with the team soon and get some feedback before we push an updated version.
