I am looking for a new monitor to go with my new rig (GTX 1080), have 2 requirements, 1440 and 144hz. These 2 monitors seem good but I will take and suggestions. Most of the games I play can reach 120+ fps on 1080p so if I overclock could I get the same on 1440?

Pascal GPUs overclock themselves using gpu boost 3.0 already so I don't think you'll be able to hit those frames at 1440p, i'd say you could probably get 90-100 frames. I'd also recommend  the dell s2716dg, you can find one for around the same price point but it also comes with G Sync so even if you drop frames, you won't be able to see it. However, those two monitors use the same display, so I would go with Samung in this case, just a personal preference.
