It'll be more than adequate for your needs this PC :)

The specs are quite impressive and that 680 shouldn't be a problem handling 3 monitors for your editing if you chose to use 3.

You might want to add more hard drive space if you're gonna be recording a lot of gameplay to this computer.

the great thing about the avermedia live gamer hd is that it compresses files as it records. a 20 minutes video ends up taking only about 1gb of space. i do plan on installing another 1tb drive from my old pc soon though.

thats a pretty good idea. Especially with the rapidly dropping prices of SSDs these days.

Excellent PC. All you need, as you know, is a dedicated sound card and you'll be good to go.

My Rig:

  • CPU: 1090T@4.1ghz
  • GPU: Gigabyte 7870
  • MOBO: Crosshair Formula V
  • RAM: 8GB 1333mhz
  • PSU: 650w corsair HX
  • SSD: 120GB Kingston HyperX
  • Sound card: Asus Xonar DX

Which OCZ Vertex model have you got? 3? 4? Both are still excellent and I love OCZ.

not that great of a picture, but there you go.
you should see my old pc lol. there are sata and molex connectors going everywhere. i tried to make the cable management a good as possible, but the 650d doesnt have very much room on the back of the case for cables.

i kinda wish i used the 600t from my old pc because i thought it had more room for cables, but i guess its a little to late now unless i want to spend a whole day on it.

If you get the Xonar Essence stx, make sure to check out the uni xonar drivers along with the asus ones. I personally found the uni drivers to be better with my xonar dx.
