How do I mention people using the @ sign

I see it all the time, but I can’t get it to work, is there some sort of button I have to press or tags to put on.

Write the @ sign and just start writing out the name. A dropdown menu should pop up asking what user you want to mention (e.g. if I started writing '@zic05', your name will show up). Press that user and now they are mentioned.

 

EDIT: looking at your previous post; lose the space between the @ sign and the start of the name.

And if for some reason it doesn't work, you can try erasing all letters and having space after @-sign then try it again. Another thing that works usually is reloading tab/page.
