Apple announces iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and Xr

Apple implemented this battery replacement program for all iPhones newer than the 5s before these lawsuites closed in. It’s been around for a year and a program like this will come around again when iPhone X style iPhones start needing battery replacements.

unless we can win another lawsuit against them i doubt it

this can be a new tradition of the apple community. file lawsuits every year to get cheap battery replacements

No, they didn't.

Yes they did. Lawsuits started, they added these programs. The lawsuits did not require Apple to do anything since none of them have even had a ruling and probably never will.

iPhone Xr sounds like the good value option in that lineup that will appeal to the most people as compared to the others.

I've gotten sick and tired of Android's quirks and issues over the last couple years, so I'll be giving that Xr a lot of thought. Migrating ecosystems will be a hurdle for me since I utilize a lot of Google services for both work and life. If I can get that with the iPhone Xr then I'll be set.

New Build (The Compromise): CPU - i7 9700K @ 5.1Ghz Mobo - ASRock Z390 Taichi | RAM - 16GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200CL14 @ 3466 14-14-14-30 1T | GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1080 TI | Cooler - Corsair h100i Pro | SSDs - 500 GB 960 EVO + 500 GB 850 EVO + 1TB MX300 | Case - Coolermaster H500 | PSUEVGA 850 P2 | Monitor - LG 32GK850G-B 144hz 1440p | OSWindows 10 Pro.

what sort of lawsuit is that? how can they not be required to do anything after they lost a lawsuit? never heard of a lawsuit that just requires the loser to admit they were wrong.

That is exactly what it is. It’s positioned to be the budget iPhone X, not a budget iPhone. If people want a cheap iPhone they can get the iPhone 7 for only $50 more than an iPhone SE.

The XR gets users into the future of iPhone with FaceID and the new design language and also has appealing hardware exclusives like the longest lasting battery on an iPhone and unique color options.

Apple hasn’t lost, none of the lawsuits have ruled that Apple was in the wrong if I’m not mistaken. Apple added these programs to show “good faith” and the lawsuits kinda lost their ground to stand on.

What the good Dr means to say is that Apple doesn't give a flying fuck about their customers, considers them idiots that can't do anything for themselves actually, until they're at risk of losing millions AND higher ups face potential jail time.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

All of the Google services are available on the iPhone. Migrating is so easy, you’ll sometimes forget that you’re using an iPhone. The biggest annoyance with iOS by far is the lack of a back button, so you have to guess some of the gestures to shrink photos or go back.

Yea, my mom bought the iPhone X last year and she loves it, though she doesn't take advantage of many of the phone's defining feature sets like its advanced camera functions, but I was able to since I'm a much better photographer than she is B|. Got some amazing pics from a day trip my family took to Yosemite National Park a few months ago. The pics I took on my phone, in comparison, are very much meh even after manually adjusting settings in the "pro mode".

I love photography though I don't own a decent camera that isn't attached to a phone yet. When I bought my HTC 10 phone I didn't expect that I'd be using the camera much but situations change and I've been consistently let down by the meh-tier quality camera in the phone, so I'm looking forward to getting a phone with a great camera this time around.

I don't think so; I'm pretty sure you can just download the APK

Really? Even though it came out in 2014 and Apple was doing 64Bit in 2013?

Kinda sad.

The Exynos 5420 was 64-bit but was never officially enabled because Android hadn't got official 64-bit support at the time.

Not to mention the first wave of Qualcomm 64-bit SoCs were hot garbage, literally. Had 2 of them.

Anyhow, I was talking to my brother-in-law about the new iPhones since he has an aging iPhone 6 Plus that he plans to upgrade.

However, he was dismayed at the high prices of the new iPhones and wanted a smaller phone, which means the XR is out of the question.

So I told him to attempt to find anyone selling an iPhone X at a good price or the smaller iPhone 8.

His 6 Plus also has a bad battery but decided to not change it due to the aforementioned upgrade.

He'll be weighing his options.

He did consider an Android phone but decided to stick with iOS mostly because transferring his work stuff would be a major hassle, especially WhatsApp crap.

Until now, I never understood why WhatsApp backups are not cross-platform, or at least not in any obvious manner.

Not to play Devils Advocate but those budget lines are being phased out like you said. If they kept a similar wide range of products like this I'd be happy, but I doubt it. iPhone Xr line is probably the future of the 'budget' iPhone.

Not to play Devils Advocate but those budget lines are being phased out like you said. If they kept a similar wide range of products like this I'd be happy, but I doubt it. iPhone Xr line is probably the future of the 'budget' iPhone.

Apple has had great success these past years offering 4 iPhones in the product stack even if it is older. Next year Apple will probably keep the XR in the stack and make it cheaper. I don't think investors will be happy with moving to only 3 products in the stack, not enough volume being shipped if the prices don't come down.

That's how I imagined it.  And it's not a slam against the iPhone Xr, it sounds like it could be a pretty good phone for most people (well, people who can swing $749).

What the good Dr means to say is that Apple doesn't give a flying fuck about their customers, considers them idiots that can't do anything for themselves actually, until they're at risk of losing millions AND higher ups face potential jail time.

And samsung gives a fuck about customer?

No, Apple, samsung, microsoft, amazon, they all want your money. If it's legal to trade your children for an iPhone / Galaxy note those companies would do it.

Samsung is even worse than apple, the nuclear bomb 7 came out, started detonating, samsung pulled them back from customers hands who have paid for them and said "tough luck"
