Dark streaks on my Asus PG348Q Ultrawide

There appeared dark streaks on my Asus PG348Q Ultrawide monitor. They are good visible on grey backgrounds. On other colors I can see them lightly or not at all. Is this a serious problem, should I send it to Asus for repair? Is there a name and reasone for this phenomenon?

No clue. It looks like a physical problem but I don't know if it has a name. Your description of dark streaks makes sense. They might have formed if pressure was applied to that area for some time. It is a long shot but you could also try swapping the cable and making sure you have solid connections between your monitor and pc.
