MC Server/Programming for first PC?

Hello, I'm really wanting to build a PC and I don't have a giant budget ($800-$1000)

I have watched Linus's budget build guides but im not sure if I should get a Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, Intel i5 or Intel i7. I that I want a GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM and a 250GB SSD. As I said in the title I've never build a custom PC before. Why I ask about AMD or Intel because I've used Intel all my life because I use Macs more and I do like Mac better but a Mac doesn't have the same expandability as a PC does. 

I want to use it to run a Minecraft server and do a bit of programing, small 4K video projects and doing screen recordings for youtube, also maybe running it as a small file server while im not using it. I'm doing a lot of learning on computers and need something I can mess with. overclocking would be nice to have and I wouldn't need to overclock it much it I did ever. 

I don't need any peripherals. The form factor can just me desktop size, ill probably have it under my desk most of the time.

Before we can help you, we'll need a little more info.

 

1. What's the purpose of this PC? Gaming? Content Creation? CAD? A little of everything?

2. Plans on overclocking?

 

3. Do you need peripherals (mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc.)

 

4. Form factor preferences?

I would advise you to go with AMD second gen processors, these processors are the best in the market and you can use them for everything. I use them sometimes for designing, AutoCAD, and gaming and I really like the change. 

 

regarding your build, I would advise you to do this build.

and you can manage the rest parts.

That's really a good build you can keep the remaining $$ for the accessories.

get a 500GB SSD right now there is some for just a little more, also get 2800 or faster memory thats on the QVL list for your motherboard. Ryzen 1000 is really picky with ram.

wow that's a great price! and that's a m.2 ssd! I think ill get most of this except the case I may get the one up.
